About: I've lived with pets all my life and while I’ve only had one human roommate in the last 30 years, I've always had a least one cat up until 2018. I LOVE cats (esp kittens), and am quite comfortable around dogs as well (I love them too, just not in all capitals, LOL). When I first started pet sitting, I thought I preferred cats to dogs, but the past few years have enabled me to expand in my love of, and comfort with dogs (but please don't tell the cats that)! I also used to 'lease' a horse in my youth and have experience with birds, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs. I DON'T like snakes or insects (sorry!) In the last 12 years I’ve volunteered with several rescues as a cat/kitten foster and I'm known to be particularly good with feral kittens and cats. I'm really good with walking (dogs mostly), dispensing medications, and loving attention, but I'm not a pushover when it comes to treats from the table (that's a no-no) staying on leash when required, and letting them know I mean business when necessary. I don't believe in EVER striking or punishing animals and seem to fall in love with them all. I’ve been a house and pet sitter on the site “Trusted Housesitters” since 2018 and have over 21 positive reviews there. I’m recently retired (yet surprisingly busy). I don’t do a lot of night driving, but am otherwise generally available. I’m a stickler about being on time, and keeping dates I commit to. My preference is for cats to remain indoors at all time at my house, and dogs always on a lead when outside. I have a variety of crate sizes here, and am totally comfortable with your fur kids riding in my car, lounging on my furniture, and/or sleeping in my bed. I have all wood floors, plenty of cat litter pans and bowls for food and water. My yard is not fenced but I live directly in front of the Western Maryland Rail Trail, and have easy access to neighborhood parks as well.

About: As a work-from-home father, my flexible schedule accommodates needy pups or cats requiring frequent visits or overnight care. I currently have 2 small dogs and am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. If you live in this area, I'm here for you! I also run (slowly) so if you have a dog that wants to run off energy for a few miles, I'm in! I work from home with minimal meetings (about 5 hours/week.) so I can make frequent visits during the day or even take my computer over to your place if you have good wi-fi! I have a fenced-in backyard of about 3/4 an acre. My two small dogs are friendly and we are glad to introduce them if this interests you and your dog. Our dogs have free run of the house and sleep on the bed.

“Susan and Robert are very kind, responsible and reliable. When we first met them, they made us feel comfortable right away. Benny (their dog) is the sweetest puppy and welcomed Pepper into his space immediately. This was the first time we left Pepper under the care of someone other than the veterinarian. After this first experience, we plan to call Susan and Robert again when we may need someone to sit Pepper. Thank Susan, Robert and Rover!”

About: I can help! I have just over four years raising my dogs. I also have some experience rescuing dogs when I was growing up. And a variety of pets from snakes to cats. I currently work at home full time and looking for more activity! I can take care of pets any time. Check out our pics, our family is dedicated to making your pets feel at home while your away. 🙂 We let pet roam free in our home and have pet friendly furniture. There is a fenced dog park for small and large dogs on site! We also have cages and an extra large balcony for extra outdoor space to roam!

About: With a background in both medical and veterinary office settings, I bring a professional and detail-oriented approach to pet care. My years working as a veterinary receptionist and assistant have given me extensive experience in animal handling, client communication, and medication management. I am calm, compassionate, and comfortable working with pets of all temperaments, and I understand the importance of reliable, attentive care—because I’ve provided it professionally for years. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, whose youngest has finally started full-time school, so I have much more flexibility and availability, especially during those daytime hours Pet Care is not a one-size fits all approach, so there is no one way to answer this. Every pet, home, client, and situation are unique.

“Kayla was very friendly and helpful in setting up some time for Jax to stay with her and Jax seemed to have a good time at her home. He even got to meet a cat for the first time. I plan on scheduling more daycare visits as well as other services with Kayla.”

About: Hi! I have several years of experience caring for multiple different species of animals. I grew up with dogs, horses, chickens, and many other animals. I currently have two dogs, ducks, 3 cats, and a horse! I do have some experience in dog grooming, so I am able to bathe, trim nails, do brush outs, and well and tidy/ sanitary trims. I have cared for a horse that needed daily eye medication, and I can administer medications if your dog and or cat needs them. I am willing to learn how to administer insulin to your pet, should they need it. I am also able to transport your animal to any appointments they may have to go to. I have a clean driving record with no accidents or tickets. I will treat your fur babies as if they are my own! I do stay home during the week, so you wouldn’t have to worry about your animals being left alone for extended amounts of time. I work from home, so your fur baby will always have company! I am very flexible with scheduling, and willing to watch your pet in case something unexpected pops up! I live on 10 acres in a secluded area with low traffic, so your pet will have plenty of space to explore! I have two female Great Danes, as well as three cats so your pet will always have company!

About: My wife Jessie and I have been around dogs all our lives. You can trust and rely on us to make sure your dog feels safe, secure, and at home while you are away. We take care of your pets as if they are our own! Unlike kennels and certain doggy daycares, we do not utilize crates or cages. We provide them with extra attention to make them feel at home and relaxed while you are away. This is especially important for dogs with separation anxiety. Being left in kennels or crates all day can leave your dog with heightened anxiety and traumatic stress. When you bring your dog to us you can be assured that we will make them feel at home and treat them as a part of our family while they are here. We will not crate your dogs and leave them like some doggy daycares and kennels, unless you request that they are crated. We will give your dogs the extra attention they need while you are away. I work different days throughout each week, but my wife Jessie is home full-time with the dogs and our kids. So one of us will always be here with them the majority of the time. We pay extra attention to your dogs so they feel at home. Feed them regularly as specified, as well as taking them outside to get exercise at least a few times a day.
