“Deb and Ralph did a great job taking care of our dog. Deb sent us pictures and updates every day, and gave us peace of mind. We were so grateful hat our girl got such good care.”

“Sophie was amazing with Dolly! When she brought her home, you could tell that Dolly just didn’t know who to go with! It was so great to see how much she loves her!”

“Jani and Paul took wonderful care of our pups. They were very attentive to their routines and needs — and sent lots of great pictures every day. We will use them again in a heartbeat! Thank you!!”

“Jesse and Emily were absolutely amazing. They took such great care of our sweet boy and sent lots of updates. Our dog unfortunately had a medical event (he has known epilepsy) during his stay and they handled it incredibly. They were so communicative and loving and went above and beyond to make sure he was okay. We could not be more grateful to have had them watching our dog while we were away.”

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”

“Merry was such a great pet sitter ! It was my 1 st time using rover.com and i didn’t know what to exspect so I messaged a few peoeple and Merry was the 1 st to respond with in minutes. It was a last Minute trip. She was able to watch my German Shepard that same day I messaged her ! She was very caring and knowledgeable about dogs . My 1 1/2 year old German Shepard went right up to her with out any problems, he instantly felt the love ! Thankyou again Marry”

About: I have taken care of our elderly farm dogs for 2 years and a rambunctious new pup this year who has lots of energy! I have also helped my mom take care of her cats since I was 18. I am currently between jobs so this is perfect . I’m a very active person, I love walking and grounding in nature. It would be great to have some company on these walks! I have a fenced in back yard on a 3 acre land. I have a young dog named Charlie who is our farm dog, he is an excited rambunctious pup that helps protect our chickens, he can be crated if needed.
About: I’ve had dogs ever since I can remember. From a golden retriever, Chocolate lab, Chihuahua to an American Bulldog. We lost our Poe (American Bulldog) several months ago and instead of getting an new pup I want to love yours! I am active and will take your pup on walks and they will get the best care and attention while you’re gone. We have a doggie door so they can get out whenever they need to and be in our enclosed backyard. I currently work from home with lots of flexibility!! I might run to the gym or to the store but your pup will be covered. My husband and I are a team and love animals! We live on 11 acres. So plenty of space to roam with several fenced in kennel areas as well as wide open area to play and run.
“Ruby was excited and enjoyed staying with Madison. She did not appear to be at all anxious when we dropped her off, or when we picked her up. Often Ruby is initially uncomfortable and worried during her first stay, but that was not the case. We will definitely schedule her stay with Madison in the future!”

About: I’ve owned both dogs and cats and have cared for several family members’ pets for over 20 years! I’m a huge animal lover and miss having one of my own. I’m a stay-at-home-mom of 3 kids so I have plenty of time to walk and play! My schedule is extremely flexible and I’m available on weekends. I have an unfenced yard and live 20 feet from the Crozet trail system, right next to Claudius Crozet Park. We don’t have any pets of our own but my three kids (ages 4, 5 & 6) are very active and will play all day with your pet. My sister is a vet at Dominion Animal Hospital so I have immediate access to professional help if needed!
About: I have cared for dogs for a little over six years and have a lot of experience with them. I am a dog lover and know exactly how to keep them happy and healthy while their families are away! I am currently working part-time, so I will have more than enough time to care for your home, pups, and anything else you may need! I care for pets by ensuring that they are always given food and water, going outside frequently, and having someone to play with hem and pet them.

About: I'm very familiar with the whelping process, having successfully assisted several mothers through labor and delivery. I have extensive experience training and raising puppies all the way from eight weeks old into well-behaved adults. Even though I have a part-time job, my hours are incredibly flexible. I am ready to help starting at 6:00 AM, but I am not strictly limited to the mornings. I am fully open for daytime watching, evening care, or overnight boarding, ensuring your dog gets attentive supervision whenever they need it. I offer a secure, pet-friendly environment with a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play. Because of my background in whelping, puppy training, and full-lifecycle care, I prioritize constant supervision, follow your exact feeding routines, and can easily provide crate training or separate spaces if your pet prefers their own quiet time.
“Maddie did an amazing job and sent regular photos and updates! It was a relief while I was out of town to know he was well taken care of and happy. She went above and beyond and I will definitely be contacting her again for future stays and walks!! :)”

96% of sitters in Bryant can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Bryant.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
