I am also available on the weekends and can come 3 times, more if requested for meals, potty breaks and play time. I have always had a strong love for animals and will treat your fur baby as my own. I am knowledgeable with medications so I am comfortable with any medical needs your pet may need.
About: Dog owner throughout whole life Active - can keep up with needs of active dogs Can administer medications Can help keep up with any training that may be going on at time of service Can handle dogs with needs that may need extra attention, including behaviors such as anxiety, aggression/resource guarding, and those that have specific medical needs. full time college student with no current employment and a flexible schedule. no human baby and 3 fur babies of my own, so I have nothing but time to love and care for your fur babies! If you have a fenced in yard, I will try to keep your dog outside and play fetch if that’s what they enjoy doing. If they prefer to be inside, I will be more than happy to cuddle up with them throughout the day. I will make sure any meds that need to be taken are administered at the correct times and in correct dosages. If you have a high energy dog and I am taking them out on a walk, I will make sure to run as long as I am physically able as I love running and want your dog to be able to release as much energy as they can.

“We are so very grateful to Jim for taking such great care of our cat. He has had to brave the snow on county roads as well as our 1/2 mile long snowy driveway. He goes above and beyond what is expected. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!”

“Adrianna did an amazing job with our two cats. She was reliable, communicative, and sent great photo updates. Our cats took to her immediately, and we appreciated how stress-free it made our vacation knowing our kitties were in good hands. 10/10—would definitely recommend!”

About: I've worked professionally in the pet industry since the age of 17 (currently 27) and have had personal pets all my life as well as volunteered prior to working. I was a professional groomer in California before moving to Ohio and becoming a stay at home mom. I worked at Fort Defiance Humane Society as a Kennel Tech for a few months before deciding to part ways. I'm currently a stay at home mom, my son is 4 and absolutely adores dogs. He would have to accompany my to any walking or drop ins. We are both very aware of saftey and how to handle dogs. I believe in providing proper mental and physical enrichment for the animals in the home. In my home my cats are brushed daily, and we give them plenty of play time.

Having an idea of your home and your pet's routines and safe spaces is important! Also- to know their mischievous tendencies or quirks will help me to know exactly who they are and what they require!

“Michelle was absolutely wonderful with my three dogs. Two of my dogs take some time to warm up to strangers, and they can be kind of intimidating with their barking. She was so so patient with them, and they warmed up pretty quickly! She was able to gain their trust and give them all lots of pets and take them on walks. She was very thorough in her updates and sent lots of pictures, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend Michelle and I will be booking with her again.”

“Murphy was so happy to have Madison take care of him today! The day before Murphy strained his shoulder and I was worried about leaving him but Madison made sure he had lots of love and his needs were met. We very much appreciated her service and look forward to future bookings!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, I have dog sat for my sisters and friends. I can feed, walk, and bath them. I care for my pets as if there my children and I would do the same for any pet! I got to college online and work a full time job Monday through Friday, when I’m not working I’m home with my pets! They enjoy relaxing with me and my Niko loves car rides! I can do drop in visits and dog walking on weekends any times! Message me and we can definitely work something out! I live in an apartment so I don’t have much of a yard so when it’s not super hot I take Niko on walks let him run around, he enjoys laying outside and chillin. He has so much fluff the heat gets to him ☺️
About: I have been helping take care of dogs since I was in high school. I have many years experience with home and pet sitting. I can also administer medications including vaccines. I am currently looking to do pet sitting full time and have a very open schedule, so I am very flexible in what days I can sit. I will no longer be accepting clients if it is within a week of booking, as that does not give me time to properly look into who I accept as a client. I am also requiring a meet and greet at least a week in advance to see if your dogs are properly trained and will listen to basic commands, and to make sure the house is clean and liveable for the time I will be there. I plan on utilizing what is available at your house, but I also plan on taking your pet for car rides or to parks to enjoy the outdoors, if that is something they are allowed. I can’t stay at a house or get dogs out of a house with cats. I am highly allergic to them, so it has to be a dog only household. I am currently only able to stay at your home as an option, as my household has dog unfriendly dogs.
“Bree went above and beyond when we had an emergency on our vacation far from home. Recommend her heartily (make sure to leave a nice tip if she has to climb through your window).”

“Natasha was wonderful! She was very thorough and communicative, and we never had to worry about our cats while we were away because she was so on top of everything. She spent plenty of time with them on each visit, and also kept us updated with lots of photos. Our cats are senior citizens and need medications, so they're not the easiest to take care of, but Natasha handled everything incredibly well. We would happily have her watch our cats again.”

I want my pets to feel comfortable and safe at all times.
“I booked a 15 day drop in for my three pets. He was great with all of them and even cared for the living room when my pets made a mess while I am gone. I would definitely recommend booking him for your pet sitting needs. He cared for the pets perfectly even when there was slow communication due to time difference being on a trip overseas. I never had to worry even when there was a time difference since he always updated with communication even when I couldn’t reply right away. I will definitely book him again if possible when I go on my next trip.”

“Claire is wonderful! She is very easy to work with and a great communicator. She went above and beyond giving love and care to our pup. I live in a building down town where parking is difficult and building entry is complicated and she managed it without a hitch. I highly recommend her!!”

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
