We wanted someone to come walk and feed Rascal so we could spend a full day exploring downtown DC and the surrounding area. Ashley covered for us every day. Rascal is not used to spending long periods of time alone so Ashley was a blessing. She fed him and took him on a long walk every visit. We felt so good to know Rascal was being cared for by Ashley. She was also flexible with our schedule. We will call on her again if we return to the DC area which is very likely next year. About: I am a stay at home mom to 2 girls, ages 4 and 5 and we recently moved to the area! My husband is in the Navy. We live in a townhouse in North Beach, MD. I have a cat that can be timid with new animals, and tends to hide until he feels more comfortable. I would love to help out with your furry family members! I hate when I have to be away from mine so I would give them tons of love so they feel comfortable and at home while you are away. About: I've been a dog owner for over 20 years and was a foster parent for a San Diego based rescue group for over 3. I currently volunteer as a dog walker at a local Southern Maryland rescue and also foster with them as well. Our family has cared for, trained and assisted with the adoption of many different breeds from small to large and all ages, puppies less than 12 weeks included. In addition we puppy raise and train service dogs for a non-profit organization based out of NY. Pets bring so much love and joy to our lives and deserve the best care when we are away. I can promise they will receive the same love and attention as if you were home yourself. Current pet is a 13 year old yellow lab and pointer mix that we've had since he was 12 weeks old. He loves long walks, swimming in any body of water and snuggling with his cat brother, Tucker. In addition we have a 2 year old beagle that nothing but fun. References are available upon request. I work remotely and am home during the day. This allows me flexibility to care my own fur-children and yours from either my home or yours. I have a large fenced yard, friendly pups, a dog room and plenty of crates. We often crate and rotate to make sure our pups get enough one on one and would do the same for yours.

My current schedule varies, but I typically work 7-hour shifts on Sundays and Mondays. On the these dates, I can manage pet care for all dogs that have a wait period to be let out 4-8 hrs. If necessary, I have the flexibility to call off work to ensure your pets are well taken care of. From Tuesday to Saturday, I have open availability, allowing me to dedicate ample time to pet care activities, such as walks, feeding, and playtime. This arrangement helps me balance work commitments while ensuring your pets receiving the attention and care they need. About: Never met a dog that didn’t love me! I’ve owned dogs all my life until now. (Renting, and owner doesn’t allow 😕). Dogs of any size or temperament are fine. You can trust that I will be on time and treat them as if they were my own! I work nights so I’m available most of the day (8:30am-2:30pm on days I work and any time on my off days, usually Mon and Tues I realize all dogs are different, so any specific instructions for your pet will be followed to the T. You can rest assured that I will be patient and caring with your family member!

About: Since childhood, I've been trusted to look after other people's pets. I grew up with dogs of my own, as well as animals of all kinds, so I have a lot of experience with pets of all personalities and temperaments. I also worked with a vet for three years, have a biology degree with an emphasis on animal science, and have a special needs pet myself, so I'm confident giving medications, maintaining any recovery care, or whatever else your dog may need. I'd love to be friends with your pup! I am self-employed and currently work from home most of the week, so I have some flexibility when it comes to scheduling! I am available for drop-in visits or walks Monday-Friday. As all of my services will take place in the client's home, I will follow any instructions that the client gives me in regards to pet care. It is my goal that your pet's routine is as uninterrupted as possible.

Beth took both dogs on a 1 hour walk through the ACLT for me while I was out of town so that they got some good fresh air and burned some energy. She was super communicative with pictures and updates. Gonzo is reactive and so it can be a big challenge walking the two dogs at once, but she managed like a pro. About: I’ve had dogs all of my life, since I can remember. I have potty trained puppies and taught them tricks. I have experience with senior dogs and special needs as well. I also used to have a hamster, a rat, and hedgehog. Currently I own one dog and a saltwater fish tank. I have plenty of experience with cats as well. I’m pretty much a sucker for any animal. About: I've been around animals all my life, and care for every single one that comes across my path. I have 4 animals so far that are living healthy and happy, and regularly babysit my neighbor's animals for weeks at a time. I wake up every day to my cat, and I want to extend that love to more animals who need that care when their owners are a little busy! It comes as a second nature to me, and I think about how my animals might be impacted by the actions I make, for example: I can never leave drinks on the counter anymore because my cat learned she likes coffee. Not anymore of course! I respect boundaries of animals and owners alike, whether that be physical such as a room not to enter or mental such as a certain word that an animal doesn't like to hear. If I am provided with rules I will follow them like a mantra.

About: I have had pets, dogs and cats both, my whole life. I have cared for my own pets since I was 13 and I currently have two loving dogs that stay with me in my home. I love all animals. I hope to be able to help families that need pet care because it will allow the pets to get the most out of their day even when the owners can’t be home. If your pet is friendly and up to date on shots and you would like in home pet care, but your pet needs socialization with other pets, I could bring my dog(s) to play with your pet to help with their socialization.
