“Kayla was AMAZING. We reached out looking for a sitter last minute and she said "how could I not!". So friendly and happy and when we met in person you could just tell how truly kind and loving she is to pets. Will absolutely reach out again in the future!”
“We are so very happy with Olivia's work. She was very responsive and flexible. In addition to our fur baby, she also took great care of our bearded dragon including make a repair to the lighting set up. The pictures she sent to us were wonderful! We will certainly be reaching out to Olivia again.”

“Emma is amazing! She cared for our girl like she was her own and helped us out on short notice. Our dog has separation anxiety and was right at home with Emma. We hope to have her back again soon.”

“Kylie was so sweet, she took such good care of my girl and even took her out for a pup cup because she was seeming down. Very attentive sitter I would definitely have her sit gf again!!”

“Marissa agreed to watch our 4 animals just days before New Year’s Eve, which included staying at our home on NYE. She still made time to come meet our pets and review info prior to her stay. Marissa was also great about keeping me updated and sending pics of my fur babies, which helped tremendously! We are so grateful! Will definitely use her services again in the future if we have additional needs.”

“I had Abigail come to my house to sit my 3 dogs while i was on vacation. She did great with my babies and took time to make them feel more comfortable with her. She even met with me beforehand to meet the dogs which put me more at ease with using her. Abigal is trustworthy and she was respectful of my belongings. She also brought in my packages and took up my garbage cans which was a huge help. I'll definitely use her services again in the future.”

“Lux was an incredible sitter for our three babies. He was very communicative the entire time we were away, which was huge for me, and exceeded all other expectations as well. I can’t recommend him enough!”

“Katie did a great job with our German Shepherd! It's hard to find a good, trustworthy sitter so it was nice to be able to enjoy our trip and not worry about what was going on back at home knowing Katie was there!”

About: I have owned dogs/cats since I was a very small child and have cared for them like they were my siblings/children every time. I currently have an 11yo cat, Diesel, that is my heart and joy! My long term bubbie was a Rottweiler/husky mix that was with my family for 14 amazing years, and we have cared for countless foster dogs since then. In addition I care for friends/coworkers/others dogs regularly and get glowing reviews the dogs are relaxed and at peace when the owner returns home vs experiencing separation anxiety. I am a teacher, my summers are free giving me the availability to be attentive to your furry loved ones during this time while you vacation! I am very affectionate with my cat and ensure all his needs are met the moment he makes me aware of them. Same for my clients’ pets, the slightest whimper or upset sound I will tend to them and figure out what has disturbed them until we’re able to settle back into a comfortable space in the home. This is usually when I do overnight stays and the pets get anxious.

“Emily is lovely and took great care of our dog Scout! She kept Scout so comfortable and gave her lots of love while we were away. She took the time to send us pictures and updates throughout our trip too! We came home to a very neat home and a very happy pup. We feel lucky to have found such a caring and dependable pet sitter and wouldn’t hesitate to ask her to house sit again the next time we go on a trip. Thanks Emily!”

“I would highly recommend Andrea. Andrea is an amazing pet sitter. She’s a great communicator, and she’s never given us reason to worry about her arriving on time or leaving early. Andrea has stayed in our home several days now and leaves little to no trace that she was there. Our animals love her and she follows all my notes, so they get the best care when I’m away. Because of Andrea, I can take guilt- and worry-free trips.”

“Jacqueline was great with Harper and stayed with her for a week while we were on vacation. She gave me frequent updates and I was comfortable that Harper was well taken care of while we were gone!”

“Jenna was absolutely amazing with all my pets. Communication was perfect. Super kind. My pup Rosie loved her immediately which never happens so that tells you how amazing she is! Will absolutely book with her again”
About: Hello! I have been caring for dogs since I was young where I grew up on a small rural farm. We have had all different kinds of breeds and sizes of dogs growing up! I love walking, playing, and caring for your animals and hope to help you when you need me! I am currently attending the University of Cincinnati this summer. While having class everyday, I only have a couple classes per day which leaves plenty of time for me to take care of your dogs! I am willing to work with the owners to figure out times that work best for everyone. Weekends will be my best availability for the entire day. I have experience walking all sized dogs and can attest to being successful in caring for other fur babies. I can follow any instructions given for the animal and whatever is needed for your pet!
“Dani made us feel very comfortable for our first time using Rover! They came over early to meet our pups and gave us continuous updates. We appreciate how calm and helpful they were. Highly recommend!!”

“Patrice was fantastic housesitting for our elderly dog and young pup for a week. They had great care and Patrice kept us well-informed when one of the dogs didn’t seem to feel well for a day or so. It was a great comfort to have someone who cares so much about animals and their well-being looking after the dogs while we were away!”

About: My dog‑care experience was shaped on the farm by two completely different but equally unforgettable dogs — Brandy and Sandy. Brandy was the hyper one, always ready to sprint, explore, or break off the leash the moment she saw an opening. Managing her taught me how to handle high‑energy dogs with patience, structure, and safe freedom when the moment was right. Sandy was the opposite — the quiet, protective free‑roam dog who walked beside me while I fed the animals, checked the fences, or just needed silence in nature. She taught me how to build trust without words, how to read calm body language, and how to create a steady presence that makes dogs feel secure. Together, they gave me a balanced understanding of dog behavior — from managing excitement to honoring stillness — and that mix guides the way I care for every dog today. Pet care fits naturally into my life because my routine is already built around consistency, early mornings, and being fully present. I work an 8:30–5pm job, but being hybrid gives me two days each week where I’m home and able to give animals steady attention throughout the day. I’m up at 4am for the gym, so I’m always awake early enough for morning feedings, walks, or check‑ins before most people even start their day. I’m flexible with my time and willing to adjust my sleep schedule, workouts, or daily activities around an animal’s needs — whether that means medication windows, outdoor time, or simply giving them company. Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze in; it’s something I build my day around with intention and reliability. When I’m caring for a pet in their space, I keep everything consistent with the routines they already know: feeding times, walk schedules, medication windows, playtime, and comfort habits. I treat their home with respect, keep their environment clean, and make sure they feel secure even while their family is away. I’m flexible with timing and fully willing to adjust my sleep schedule, workouts, or daily plans around what each animal needs — whether that’s late‑night reassurance, early‑morning energy, or extra companionship throughout the day. For me, pet care isn’t something I squeeze in. It’s something I build my day around with intention, reliability, and real heart.

Emma was great! She’s a good communicator and pays close attention to detail. Most importantly, my dogs loved her! I felt so comfortable leaving my babies in her care and when I came back they were so relaxed and happy! I will absolutely be contacting her in the future to care for my dogs!

I cannot say enough great things about Leilani! She saved the day after needing last minute care for our puppy while we were on vacation. She was incredibly responsive and wonderful at communicating. She took fantastic care of our Penny, and even caught that Penny wasn’t feeling well and had her seen! She is so incredibly sweet and a pleasure to work with. She provided daily updates and photos which put our minds at ease! I couldn’t recommend her more! Thank you!

Brad was so easy to work with from the beginning to the end. He remembered details from our Meet & Greet six weeks ahead of time. Our dogs were at ease with him from the first time they met which was comforting since we never had a house sitter service for them before. He communicated with us daily and shared pics of them too. He also left no trace that he stayed in our house for five days! It was clean and orderly when we returned which is a wonderful perk after being away. I will definitely request and recommend him for future stays.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bridgetown North walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bridgetown North maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bridgetown North choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
