“Ruby was amazing! She made our trip so worry free while taking such great care of our Gracie girl! Walks, playtime, snuggles what more does a dog need! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Ruby!”

“My first time using Rover, I was a little apprehensive. Eric was great. During Lacy’s stay we received multiple updates and pictures of her. We will definitely ask Eric and Rover to keep her again.”

“Definitely would recommend Chris and Ashley! They made us and our dog Koda feel comfortable and kept us updated and also sent us photos throughout Koda’s stay with them. He was very worn out from all the playing will definitely be bringing him back!”

“Krista was great! She was flexible and sent cute updates. Finn came home a relaxed, happy boy. It looked like he had so much fun with her dogs! I’d definitely recommend to anyone looking for a responsible, reliable sitter. We hope to have Finn stay with Krista every time we’re in the area!”

“Grace was fantastic with our pets. She has a nice fenced in backyard, and we got to see pictures of our fur babies enjoying that area while we were away. This was a really last minute trip, so we are even more thankful for her welcoming our dogs like they were her own.”

“Jennifer was great! Her home is nicely set up for pets and and her secured backyard was great for my small pooch who likes to explore (and sometimes escape). I didn't have any communication issues as Jennifer was very responsive to messages and I received a few updates during my dog's stay. My pup was happy and looked comfortable in the home when I picked her up, all good signs of a trusting dog sitter. I also appreciate her flexibility with my booking. I definitely recommend Jennifer for dog sitting services.”

“Elizabeth is awesome! She was so patient and kind with my really nervous dog and went above and beyond to communicate with me and problem-solve as my pup presented her with some unforeseen challenges. I can’t imagine that there’s a better dog caregiver out there.”

“Mike and Niki took wonderful care of our Poodle puppy, Baxter! They took him to a lake, a dog park, for several walks, and showered him with attention. They sent many updates and pictures, which we loved. We will definitely request their services again! Thanks Mike and Niki!! - Brandi & Chad”

About: My husband and I have fostered over 30 dogs in the past 4 years. I’ve been around and caring for dogs for over 20 years, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, including multiple dogs at once. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, medications, cleaning up after pets, and giving them plenty of love and attention. I’ve also fostered dogs, so I understand how important patience, consistency, and making pets feel safe can be. I treat every pet like they’re my own and will keep you updated while you’re away! I work Monday through Thursday during the day with a very flexible schedule, so I’m available for pet care during the day, evenings, Fridays, and weekends. I’m also available for drop-ins, walks, and overnight stays depending on my schedule. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and give them plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fenced yard and a safe, welcoming home where pets can relax and feel comfortable. I have friendly dogs of my own who are used to other animals, but I’m also happy to keep pets separated if that makes them more comfortable. I’m comfortable with crates, feeding routines, walks, medications, and special instructions. I’ll treat your pets like family and keep you updated while they’re in my care.

“Nick was a great sitter for Wilson! There was extensive communication ahead of the boarding to confirm he understood Wilson’s care instructions, and regular updates throughout his stay. I would leave Wilson with Nick again without hesitation.”

“Samantha and family took excellent care of our German Shepherd and Yorkie, we will definitely use Samantha again, our dogs were taken care of like family. Can’t say enough good about Samantha and family”

About: Lifelong animal experience – I’ve cared for animals my entire life, not just as a job but as a way of life. • Real dog-owner perspective – With 2 dogs of my own, I understand routines, energy levels, training reinforcement, and emotional needs. • Calm, patient care – Great for shy, anxious, senior, or high-energy dogs who need consistency and understanding. • Individualized attention – I don’t do “one-size-fits-all” care. Walks, play, feeding, and downtime are tailored to your dog. • Trust & reliability – I show up on time, follow instructions closely, and communicate clearly so you can relax while you’re away. • Home-style love – Your dog is treated like family, not a booking. Hi! I’m Shelbie, a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs and cats of all personalities. I live in a peaceful rural area with plenty of space for play, walks, and safe adventures. Your furry friend will get the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away! Dog Boarding (In My Home – Female Dogs Only) For the safety and comfort of all pets in my care, I only board female dogs. My Australian Shepherd has a strong personality, and keeping our home harmonious means I cannot accept male dogs. Female pups are always welcome, and they’ll receive lots of love, playtime, and cuddles in a safe, home environment. I work full-time from 8–5, but I’m happy to stop by during my lunch break for local drop-ins to take your sweet guy or girl out for a potty break, walk, or some love. I’m available after 5 PM, all day on Wednesdays, and all weekends. I’m reliable, flexible, and always happy to work with your pet’s routine whenever possible. I care for pets with patience, consistency, and lots of love—whether in my home or yours. While I don’t have a yard yet, I live close to a dog park and provide plenty of walks, playtime, and mental stimulation to keep dogs happy and exercised. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, play, and downtime. Safety and comfort always come first, and I make sure pets get individual attention, affection, and enrichment. In your home, I respect your space while ensuring your pet feels secure and relaxed in their familiar environment. I’m attentive, reliable, and treat every pet as if they were my own.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Brainerd
Ruby is a great dog sitter and has a very welcoming home. Our dog loves being dropped off with her! He gets to socialize with her family and other dogs and does not have to be isolated at a kennel facility. We couldn’t be more at ease when we need to leave him. Ruby sends videos and photos and updates throughout his stay. Highly recommend her!!

Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
