“Aimee… was AAHHMMAAZZIINNGG!! She did such a great job loving my fur babies while I was gone. It was so awesome to get daily pics w updates during her daily visits I will definitely be asking for her in the future.”

About: I am a long time pet owner with hands on experience caring for dogs, cats, and fish. I understand how important it is to feel confident and comfortable when leaving your pet in someone else's care. I currently have two pets of my own and I am very attentive to routines, personalities, and individual needs. I have experience with daily care tasks such as feeding, walks, litter box maintenance, playtime, brushing, and providing companionship. I'm comfortable with pets who need a little extra patients, including senior pets, shy cats, and animals who prefer calm, consistent care. I approach pet sittign the way I would want someone to care for my own pets. What sets me apart is my calm, dependable approach and strong focus on trust. I'm organized, communicative, and respectful of both pets and homes. I currently work full time during the day Monday-Friday. I offer pet sitting services such as check ins before and after work on weekdays. I also will consider overnight house/pet sitting in the local area through the week. I am willing to do overnight house/pet sitting at greater distances on Friday and Saturday nights. I don't rush visits, and I take time to make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I'm especially mindful of routines and instructions, and I provide updates so owners feel reassured while they're away. I work best with clients who value reliability, clear expectations, and thoughtful care over a one-size-fits-all approach.

“Dana has become truly a miracle send for my husband and I - we have two giant Belgian Malinois(one that weighs 130lbs and is more like a small pony!) and she started coming in for drop ins as we prep to have our first baby. She immediately put us at ease, the boys both took to her quickly and even our younger, anxious, not trusting of new people dog came around quickly. Today, despite my own personal anxiety about it and how the dogs would react - Dana did two check ins successfully where we were gone and not present and it went phenomenally! Dana is patient, awesome, calm which is exactly what anxious dogs need but especially giant Malinois who are protective and high drive. I would recommend her to anyone with large dogs especially and even more so if your dogs go everywhere with you and if you’ve avoided any overnight trips that they can’t go on due to boarding or sitting woes with dogs who need consistent routine and their own space.”

About: I have been taking care of pets for years. Anything from farm animals to fish! I love every animal as if they were my own. I can feed, water, play, and give medicines when needed! I have a pretty flexible schedule working as a receptionist at a Vet office. I’m working part-time and can stop by on my way home anytime during the week to take care of your pets. I am also available on the weekends! I have four dogs and four cats that are all different age ranges so I am able to have the energy for a puppy, but also be able to give medicine and slow walks for elderly pets.

About: I’m a student at UWG, sadly I couldn’t take my dogs with me but I’m hoping rover opens up an opportunity for me to still be around animals! I have pet sit multiple times before for friends but have never signed up for an app, I’m excited to get started! I’m currently in school, but only for around 4 hours a day so I am very flexible and have plenty of time to care for your pets! If I am house sitting, I will walk them through whatever routine is told to me, and be sure to play with them often. I will make sure all of the doors are locked when entering and leaving the house, and make sure all belongings stay safe.
About: I have been surrounded by animals my whole life. Throughout college and after, I have had two dogs and two cats of my own. One of my past job experiences is as a vet tech so I have a bit of handling/caring for all types of animals. I currently have a senior doggie so I am able to provide senior dog (or cat) care if needed as I know having older dogs requires more patience and understanding (which should be regardless of any age) due to it being hard to get up and move around than the younger babies. I will go over and beyond to make sure your fur baby (or babies) are comfortable with me as they normally are with you! I am in my 2nd year of medical school and currently studying at home for a couple exams so can easily make time to care for your baby as a drop in or while staying in my home with my dog, Pixie. I have a fenced in yard and large single family home which I have one room that is completely empty that could be ”the fur baby(ies) room” if need be. I can also bring my study stuff over to spend the day studying and playing with your baby in their own safe environment, but will need to run home occasionally to take care of my own dog, Pixie.
About: I have over 5 years of professional animal care experience and well over 10 in personal animal care experience ranging from raising and training litters of puppies to assisting with horses. I have had animals all my life and was raised to put their care before my own. For the last 5 years I have worked in vet clinics while in school at UGA pursuing a degree in animal biological sciences. While working in those vet clinics I have worked as both a boarder and a vet tech at a fear free clinic dealing with both calm and more aggressive animals. My duties in these positions were watering, feeding, walking, and administering medication for pets ranging from 6 months old to elderly. I am very well versed in all types of animals and am happy to answer any questions you may have for me! I am a teacher and am entering summer break so I have all the time in the world to care for your pets! While I cannot house sit due to having a dog of my own I am more than happy to take time to visit your fur baby when necessary while my dog plays with my family pets at home! I provide a safe, calm, and reliable experience for pets during walks and drop-in visits. I treat every pet like my own and follow all my clients instructions carefully to keep pets comfortable, happy, and safe. Safety is very important to me, so I always use secure leash practices, pay close attention to my surrounding during walks, and make sure doors and gates are secure before leaving. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners are sure their pets are in good hands.

About: I’ve grown up with animals my entire life. My own dog is a 3 year old goldendoodle. I potty trained him and taught him basic commands. I’ve taken my dog to obedience training to learn skills and techniques. I have tons of experience dog sitting with different types of dogs. I have given medication to dogs while dog sitting. I’ve volunteered at animal shelters. Overall I just love dogs! I work Monday-Friday, but after 4pm my afternoons are free. I am free on weekends to provide dog services. About: Hi, I'm Donna - caring for animals has been part of my life since childhood. I grew up on a dairy farm, learning responsibility, patience, and hands on animal care from a young age. I understand that every animal has different needs, routines ,and personalities. At Simple Life Pet Care, your pets are treated like family—because that’s exactly what they are. I treat each one with kindness, respect, and patience. I have been a nurse for the past 15 years, bringing professionalism, dependability, and attention to detail into everything I do. Now, I'm excited to start my own business doing something I’m truly passionate about, caring for animals. Caring for animals of all sizes has always been part of my everyday life. From large and small dogs, farm animals, and small pets like rabbits, hamsters, and gerbils. —I provide reliable, loving care you can trust. I help busy families and professionals take care of their pets when they are at work or away on vacation. I give loving care while you’re not there. I provide pet care as part of my regular weekly routine, which allows me to give each pet calm, consistent, and attentive care. As I’m starting part-time, I intentionally keep my schedule manageable so every visit gets my full attention—not rushed or overbooked. I currently care for my own black lab Hank and I’m very mindful about keeping a secure and structured environment. All outdoor time is supervised—I always use a leash for potty breaks and walks to ensure safety. My daily routine also includes caring for my cat, Snickerdoodle and my chihuahua, Princess. My specialties are drop ins and walks, so I will take great care of your pets.
About: I am a HUGE dog person, it's basically my whole personality at this point. I have had dogs in my life since I was 10, when I got my first shih tzu, Bella. I also volunteered at the Nebraska Humane Society throughout high school, walking the shelter dogs and providing them with much-needed enrichment. I have experience caring for dogs that are a bit hyperactive and need a bit more attention and exercise. Not to mention all of my experience with petting random dogs on the street or at the park and telling them what good boys or girls they are. There is no dog too big or small for me, I love them all!! I currently have a part-time job, but I don't work more than 30 hours per week, and I usually get scheduled for only 3-5 hours at a time. I have many free days as well in which I would be available to walk your dog or provide enrichment. I am dedicated to making sure your dog is comfortable and happy! I know that each furry pal has a routine that they are accustomed to following, and each owner has a set of rules they follow to keep their pets happy & healthy. I would be sure to follow any directions or guidelines given to me by owner. After all, they know their pets the best!

I’m currently not working so I am usually available any time during the day. I will work with your schedule while making sure your animal is safe and happy. I am open to dog walks, drop ins, or even keeping dogs in my home. I am open to anything. I know all about dog safety and signs to look for in animals.

About: I’m here to help! I’ve worked with dogs from puppies to seniors. But also worked with dogs with behavioral problems and overall shy dogs. Also have trained a few dogs as well! I’m always available on weekends but on week days I’m free after 4:30pm to walk and check up on any of your pets! And if it’s in the only on week days it would be anytime before 8:30am. I’m huge into following directions and having good communication with my clients. Making sure I know if there’s any triggers or problems your pets have before service.
“I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Jessie while I was away! From the very beginning, she was incredibly responsive, answering all my questions and easing my worries about leaving my two kittens behind. Throughout her visits, she kept me updated with lovely pictures that showcased my fur babies having a great time. It was clear they were in excellent hands! It was such a relief to know they were well cared for. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Thank you, Jessie, for taking such wonderful care of my kittens!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
