About: I graduated in 2018 from Umass Amherst with my Bachelors of science Pre-veterinary medicine. I have worked as a technician as well as a veterinary receptionist in animal hospitals. I am confident handling most animals, livestock, birds, dogs, cats and I have amateur skills with reptiles and horses. I took a small animal CPR course and can administer medications. I have personally owned 3 dogs, a bird, and many fish throughout my life. I am looking for extra work and have a very flexible schedule. I will typically be available most days and weekends, so don't hesitate to ask! I have a pre-veterinary bachelors degree and plenty of experience handling small pets I have a semi fenced large yard in the suburb area. I have two runs set up in the backyard, both allowing plenty of freedom. I have one dog, Digby. He is a mixed King Charles Cavalier spaniel and poodle. Digby is 6 years old and about 30lbs. He is sort of timid around other dogs but once he knows everything is safe, he loves to play! I live with my mother and my father.
“Shayla has walked my dog Yogi twice now, and she has been great each time! Our meet and greet went really well, and when it rained on their walk, Shayla took the time to clean Yogi's paws and dry him off. I loved seeing the photos from their walk and playtime on the Rover Card. I look forward to using her again!”

“Paul is a wonderful addition to my dog’s routine! I was scrambling to figure out what to do on my 12 hour days with my newly adopted rescue female pit mix when classes started this Fall. After reviewing a few profiles, Paul’s really stuck out as someone with both passion and genuine knowledge about dogs/dog behavior. I asked him to come meet my dog before we officially booked to ensure that she reacted well to him. Within the first few minutes, my dog was on her back requesting belly rubs. Needless to say, they hit it off! I feel very comfortable with Paul and SO pleased with how happy my dog looks in the pictures I get from their weekly walks. Even when she refuses to go outside in the rain, he spends time hanging out with her so she still gets some attention. I couldn’t be more appreciative and I’m sure my dog would 100% agree!”

About: I have cared for dogs since I got my first puppy when I was 12 years old. Since then I have volunteered for several years at a wolfdog sanctuary. When I worked at Hawaii Volcano National Park I volunteered to walk the Park hunting dogs and clean their enclosure several times a week. A have dog sat for a very elderly, infirm English mastiff that could no longer stand on its own. I am very experienced in getting puppers to take medication. I have done house/dog sat for up to a month at a time for 2 dogs and 3 cats, making sure they are all fed and entertained. I absolutely adore animals, but particularly love dogs. I am happy when they are happy. I am currently working towards making pet care more of a career as I transition out of my current job. I am a government employee who is looking to make a change in my work life. During the current shutdown, I am available anytime for all pet care needs. I have just moved into my first home with my fiance! We have a fenced backyard and a nice walkable neighborhood. Inside all of the furniture is dog friendly, so your puppers can snuggle up if they wish or have room to themselves. My number 1 priority is the comfort and happiness of the dog and I will always do my best to provide a safe and fun environment for them.
About: I love both dogs and cats. I grew up with a dog and love their energy, enthusiasm, and sweetness. As an adult, I have fostered cats and had my own cats. I have 22 years of experience caring for pets, and I am always happy to meet new animal friends! I work from home, so my schedule is flexible and I can visit pets on my clients’ schedules, including overnight stays/house-sitting; my pets have other family members who can take care of them if I’m gone. I offer sweet snuggles, energetic playtime, and any other special services your pet needs. Because I have my own cat and dog, all care must take place in your home.
About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my deep dedication to providing personalized care tailored to each pet's needs. I have hands-on experience caring for a variety of pets, from energetic puppies to senior dogs needing extra attention and patience. I excel at establishing a safe, nurturing environment that helps pets feel comfortable and loved in their owners' absence. Beyond standard pet care, I bring exceptional attention to detail, ensuring pets maintain their routines, whether it's administering medication, feeding on a precise schedule, or providing stimulating activities to keep them happy and healthy. What truly makes my services unique is that I view pet care as not just a job but an opportunity to serve the community. As a mother of two teenagers, I involve my children in learning how to responsibly care for animals under my guidance. This helps them understand the value of compassion, empathy, and giving back to others by treating pets with the same love and respect we would our own family members. Together, we aim to provide peace of mind to pet owners by treating their furry family members as our own. Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily and weekly routine. As someone who juggles multiple responsibilities, I prioritize creating a structured schedule that allows me to provide attentive, consistent care to the pets I look after. Each day, I plan my tasks around the specific needs of the pets in my care, ensuring their feeding, walks, playtime, and any special requirements—like medication or grooming—are handled on time. My flexibility and time-management skills allow me to accommodate even last-minute requests, providing peace of mind to pet owners with busy lives. Incorporating pet care into my routine has also been an invaluable way to teach my children about responsibility and compassion. They often assist me with simple tasks under my supervision, giving them a sense of community involvement while allowing me to maintain a high standard of care for each pet. This integration of pet care into my daily life isn’t just a responsibility—it’s a passion that aligns perfectly with my desire to make a positive impact on both pets and their owners. Caring for pets in their own homes is a responsibility I take very seriously. I strive to provide a seamless experience that maintains the pet’s usual routine and ensures their comfort and safety in a familiar environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I begin by thoroughly understanding their specific needs, including feeding schedules, exercise preferences, playtime activities, and any medical or behavioral requirements. I ensure that every detail is followed precisely to keep pets happy and stress-free. During each visit, I prioritize interactive care, whether that’s engaging in their favorite games, taking them for walks, or simply providing companionship. For pets requiring additional attention, such as seniors or those with special needs, I bring patience and care to ensure they remain calm and comfortable. I also treat my clients’ homes with the utmost respect. I maintain a clean and organized space, follow any provided instructions, and ensure the home is secure when I leave. My goal is to not only care for the pets but also provide peace of mind to their owners, knowing their furry family members and home are in trusted hands.

I take pride in being a responsible and attentive pet owner. For references, anyone familiar with me can attest to the level of care, patience, and commitment I provide to my pets and to animals in general. Caring for animals comes naturally to me, as I believe it requires genuine love, consistency, and attentiveness to their individual needs. I am generally available after 3:30 p.m. on weekdays. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, I am available throughout the day. On weekends, I am available after 3:30 p.m. as well. If needed, you are welcome to call or text me to confirm my availability at any given time. I have a fully fenced yard and two friendly cats who are up to date on all care and vaccinations.
