“I can’t say enough about how wonderful Tawni was with my dog, Ivy Rose. This was a last-minute request and I was so nervous to leave Ivy while we went to the beach — I even cried when I left her. Tawni immediately reassured me that Ivy would be in great hands. She kept in constant contact the entire time, sending lots of updates and pictures, which truly gave me peace of mind. What really stood out is how mindful she was of Ivy’s temperament. Ivy can be apprehensive in new situations, and Tawni went out of her way to read her body language, respect her comfort zone, and make sure others gave her space. She even made sure Ivy was the only dog in her care, adjusting her schedule so my girl could feel completely safe. It’s rare to find someone so caring, attentive, and communicative. Tawni went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for the love and attention she gave Ivy. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone who treats your pet like family.”

“Tracy was amazing with Max! She took very good care of Max, responded in a timely manner when I asked about him and sent me pictures of him. knowlegable when i had questions. I would most definitely board Max with Tracy again.”

“We literally couldn’t have found a better sitter for our dogs. Holly and her husband were absolutely wonderful! She wrote me every morning and evening with updates, pictures, and videos of our dogs. They were so happy to be there. She was so kind and patient with them. Even went out of her way to throw a birthday doggie birthday party. Will definitely book again next time we go out of town”

“I left my almost 16 year old pug with Carrie and her husband while I traveled for 10 days to visit family. I know she was in great hands, she’s usually a little nervous at first but ran right up her steps when I got there as she’s been there before short term. Carrie sent me messages and pictures often enough. She got lots of outdoor time, was tended to her older age needs, and even got to sleep next to them as she’s used to it at home. I feel very lucky to have found her through Rover and I’d highly recommend her and her husband!”

“Being our first board with our puppy we were very apprehensive. We got numerous photos from Jocelyn a day. Many including her family. Really put us at ease. Definitely would bring her back.”

About: I'm an enthusiastic dog walker and sitter that has a passion for dogs and rescuing them. I have been involved in dog rescue and fostering in the Syracuse area for a number of years. I've cared for a number of my own dogs and cats from young to seniors. I've also been a foster parent to a number of dogs when rescues needed someone. I can handle the most challenging of dogs down to little babies and everything in between. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention when I'm around! I give all dogs the same love and affection I would give my own dog and see the importance of cuddle and buddy time along with good exercise. I show confidence when I'm with a dog so that they know there is trust with me from the beginning. I currently work part time, so have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I am always available after 3:00 p.m. during the week, before 8:00 a.m. or anytime on the weekends. I've got a very pet friendly home. I live in a single story, ranch house that has a fully fenced back yard. I do not have children at home that we would need to worry about and I'm very respectful if needed to go into a client's home. Safety and security are always at the forefront.
“Kiera took such wonderful care of my senior guy! I dropped him off at her home while I moved into my new place and I had such peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. Kiera sent me pics and videos of Chico playing and out on walks with her sweet senior girl! I will definitely bring Chico back to Kiera’s in the future.”

“11/10. My dog had such a great time with Jose, it’s like she’s the one who had a vacation! Jose is extremely good about communicating and sending pictures, and it was a really nice experience to receive updates throughout my dog’s stay without needing to prompt for them. My dog had ample space to get her energy out, and with an additional bonus of having an active sitter to do activities with, there was never a doubt that she was receiving anything less than the care I’d provide her at home. I recommend Jose to anyone looking for a reliable sitter, a comfortable stay for their pet(s), and peace of mind—my dog is certainly looking forward to another stay!”

“We've worked with Erix several times now. He handles our high energy pup very well and send us updates so we don't worry. He also works with us with our pups varying medical conditions that require medicine.”

“Jeanne was amazing! We needed to go out of town for the weekend and were nervous about leaving our dog with someone since we’ve only had her for about a month. Jeanne was so kind and asked us to have our dog meet her dog first so we could see if it was a good fit. This was reassuring to us, rather than folks who accepted right away. Jeanne kept us informed and sent updates throughout the weekend. We are definitely going to reach out again if we’re in need of a sitter”

“Booked last minute and was very accommodating. I needed a day sitter for my 2 labs and received pictures/ updates thought the day. My dogs had a great day and were well cared for. Would definitely recommend and book again in the future.”

I would love to start taking care of more pets within my community and gain more experience! __________________________________________ little side note: i allow my pets on my bed and couch with me all the time, just for some reason I wasn’t sure how to edit that off my profile lol so just know your pet is more than welcome 👌 i’m currently on summer break working a part time job, but have a flexible schedule. i like to go outside to parks, find good places to hike, and staying active. with bookings i will make sure to keep myself available or work with your schedule, whether that be for mornings, evenings, or even overnight. i’m also available the weekends. once school begins i will still be able to remain flexible. my senior cat sofia is specific with her needs, whether that’s the food she eats, the places she sleeps, or the litter i get. whatever her needs may be, whether she likes her hard food or gets sick of and only wants wet food, i make sure to listen. when she’s having a stomach ache or under the weather, i’m alerted and get her the best care i can provide. when it comes to family or friends animals like their dogs i like to spend a lot of time with them outside, taking them to parks, and even to hike depending on the kind of dog and their energy level. for clients i’ll ensure to keep them updated on their pets and if their were special instructions on how they want their pet to be treated i will do my best to make sure they are safe and well cared for.

98% of sitters in Blossvale can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Blossvale home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Blossvale.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
