About: My whole life, I have taken care of animals—from helping my family run a foster home to pet-sitting for friends—and I would love to take care of yours! I have experience with (and love for) dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as dogs with a wide array of health issues. I am a full-time undergraduate student free to spend time with your pets all day on weekends and in the afternoon and/or evening on weekdays. On major breaks in the winter and summer, my availability may change. Due to my apartment's strict animal policies, I can only offer services at your home. There, I can take your dog(s) out to run and play to their hearts' content. I can also administer daily medications (oral, topical, or injectable). I believe in adapting my schedule to your dog's preferred routine. And in sending lots of photo updates!

About: With over a decade of hands‑on animal‑care experience, I bring a calm, knowledgeable approach to every pet I work with. I’m a Zoo Science major with training in behavior observation, enrichment planning, and safe handling techniques. I also train service dogs, so I’m comfortable with structured routines, behavior cues, and dogs who need a little extra patience. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or a senior needing slow, gentle care, I’m here to make them feel safe and happy. I’m currently a full-time student with plenty of flexible time outside of class. I’m available on weekends and throughout weekdays between classes, making it easy to fit in walks, playtime, or drop-in visits whenever your pup needs me. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. Whether in my care or yours, I provide a calm, pet-friendly environment, follow routines closely, and give extra patience, love, and attention to build trust and ensure your furry friend feels secure.

Kayla was awesome! She stayed 10 nights with our dogs and it was a relief they were able to stay in their home and have company! We came home to very happy dogs and the house as nice as we left it! She also cared for our poultry and did an excellent job! We loved the photo updates of all the animals. We will definitely use her again in the future!

Caitlin was absolutely amazing with Ellie and Eva. She provided updates, took them on walks and adventures, and I had no qualms about her staying in my house while I was three time zones away. She also took great care of my place and when I returned it looked like no one had even stayed there. I can't recommend her highly enough! I will definitely be using her again when I travel.

Melli was great with our pups and cat, she sends frequent updates so you know your pets are being taken care of. We have some rambunctious dogs, so I felt good leaving them with someone who cares! She left the house clean and our dogs seemed to have had a great time! Hoping to be able to use her services in the future!!

About: I have a deep love for animals and truly enjoy the process of connecting with them. For me, it’s more than just "watching" a pet; I love learning about their unique personalities, specific traits, and individual needs to ensure they feel safe and happy while their owners are away. PS - If you are wanting a house sit it is just me and not Thomas since we live in different areas now. Unfortunately we got an update from our housing authority (in Minneapolis) that we aren't supposed to have dogs 50 lb or more in the condo, so we can not accept bigger dogs unless its for a short duration. Thomas is a homebody and just goes into his art studio for a couple of hours in St Paul Mon-Fri. His hours are very flexible usually from 11:30am-3pm and can be less if needed to be home with a pet. My schedule is also flexible as i'm an independent canvasser for PBS and pick up para substitutiting at public and private schools. Well I put my clients needs first. Just like when I nanny or do childcare work or teaching I really try to listen to the "parents" aka pet owners in this scenario and listen to what their desires are. Ultimately I'm working for you so I want your cares and concerns to come first! I am very happy to provide or use your toys and play with your pet and pamper them. Give them just enough food and space to warm up to me. Let me know if your pets have any dietary needs. I have experience taking care of pets with seizures as well and giving their medicine in with their daily meals.

About: I have had pets for all of my life and have gained a wealth of experience along the way. For several years I worked at a pet boarding and grooming facility where I obtained the knowledge of light grooming, and administering medications such as insulin. During my time working at this facility I also learned how to handle pets that may be aggressive wether it was caused by food, toys, or anxiety. I currently have four dogs and two cats who I love dearly. I have also had the joy of taking care of many animals all the way from puppy/kitten hood all the way to the rainbow bridge. I know how hard it can be to find someone you can trust to care for your fuzzy family member, but I hope you can find that with me. If you have any questions please ask me and I will be happy to answer I am currently working as a shipping manager for a small factory but I would like to make caring for pets my full time job. I have an invisible fence with one and a half acres of area to roam. I have pet stairs leading to those hard to reach areas (like the couch or bed) for small or senior pets. I also have a cart to pull behind my bike if there are any pets that aren't so active but like fresh air. My cats enjoy the luxury of having their own bedroom so they can have peace from the dogs when needed. And of course I have a plethora of toys and treats. I am willing to make accommodations for special needs pets.

About: I’ve taken care of animals since a little girl. I’ve trained 2 medical service dogs so far! I’m currently learning more about specialty training. I have puppy training experience, crate training, leash training, senior care, and medication management. I’m a graphic designer and I work from home. I rarely leave the house! That means I have all the time for your fur baby! I have a large fenced back yard, and a garage that is set up as a dog hang out spot with access to water & shade from the sun! I have one very friendly 11 month old German shepherd mix who loves to play & is crate trained. I have the backyard & garage on camera, but I keep an eye on my dog regardless. I either work on my laptop from the back window, or outside! We also take walks around the neighborhood. I also have a small doggy pool! The fence is over 6 foot & secured with privacy lining.

FAQs for House Sitting - Blooming Valley

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 112 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Blooming Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Blooming Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Blooming Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Blooming Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
