Viral Video Shows Withdrawn Puppy Blossom and Grow Up in Just Seconds

For Dog People

This viral video of a puppy growing up in a matter of seconds is just about the sweetest thing we’ve ever seen. The video features Putney, the golden retriever, and we got in touch with her owners to learn the story behind the video.

Sit back, prepare to say ‘Awwww,” and read on to find out how it all happened.

Puppyhood goes by so fast

How’d they do it? The family used an app called One Second Every Day, which captured 1 second of video, every single day, for the first 7 months of Putney’s life at home.

When Nick and Nateecha Powdthavee brought Putney home, the puppy seemed worried and aloof. Though Putney came from a good home, she seemed uncomfortable with humans. The couple was determined to bring out her happy golden retriever nature, and you can definitely see the results of their efforts, as Putney blossoms in their care.

I'm totally knackered from my long evening walk because it was wayyy to hot to be outside during the day, and this is what Mum decides to do for her own amusement ? #sotired #exhausted #puppynaptime #puppynap #sleep #minime #goldenretriever #goldenretrieverpuppy #goldensofinstagram #retriever #retrieversgram #puppy #puppygram #instapuppy #instagolden #puppylife #puppiesofinstagram #pupstagram #pupsofinstagram #weeklyfluff #dailyfluff

Asked about his favorite part of the video, Nick says it’s about a different kind of transformation.

“It has taken so much patience, persistence, and determination for us to win her over, to try to bring out the Golden Retriever in her and to teach her to enjoy life. I think you can just about see her slowly becoming much happier and more confident in the video as she gets older.”

Such a cutie

My parents gave me a buffalo horn to chew on to stop me from digging while I’m in the garden ?? • But leave me unsupervised for 2 minutes and I'll just do both, then get told off for it ? (Mum went to make herself a cup of tea so I took a break from chewing to eat mud ?) • • 6 months old today and, going forward, Mum says she will try her best not to take daily pics of me anymore so that I don't become too averse to the camera!! ?? • • • For more golden fluffiness, please check out my friends ?? @beaugoesblue @golden_wednesday @sadie_wisconsingolden • • #bullyhorn #goldenretriever #goldenretrieverpuppy #goldensofinstagram #retriever #retrieversgram #puppy #puppygram #instapuppy #instagolden #puppylife #puppiesofinstagram #pupstagram #pupsofinstagram #weeklyfluff #dailyfluff

Putney is a sensitive soul, who loves other dogs but is still a little shy with strangers. Her favorite activities include napping on the couch with her family nearby, and playing outside, preferably with one of her many dog friends. You can follow Putney’s adventures on her Instagram page.

I got to go and play with my new friend Remi today and it was sooooo much fun!!! She is smaller and younger than me by about 3 weeks, and after all the running we did, I got so tired that I abruptly sat on her ? #puppyplaytime #oops #sorryremi #thatface #blacklab #labrador #goldenretrieverpuppy #retriever #retrieversgram #puppy #puppylife #puppiesofinstagram #pupstagram #pupsofinstagram #weeklyfluff #dailyfluff
