Rescue dog Nora had lost her faith in humanity. A rough early start had wrecked the the English pointer’s confidence, and she was fearful of the world and everyone in it. Her adoptive family worked hard to help her recover. And then something magical happened: Archie was born.
Love you, mean it
From the moment Archie was born, the two were inseparable, sharing each day’s activities from playtime to naptime. Mom Elizabeth Spence calls Archie her animal whisperer, and credits his laid-back attitude and good nature for helping him bond so deeply with their rescue dog.
A family friend created Archie’s matching hat
“We taught the kids from a very young age to respect the dogs and to treat them well, so the dogs trust and love the kids very much and are quite comfortable hanging out with them in any manner”
Yes, they’re super
Spence documents her three children, their dogs, and three cats daily. Her photos range from intimate portraits to glorious nap sprawls featuring all or most of her home’s inhabitants.
Nap city
You may be surprised to hear that Spence is not a professional photographer by trade. She was inspired to document her family with her iPhone a few years back, and only recently made the switch to a DSLR.
