When a bonded trio of Saint Bernards arrived at the Edmonton Humane Society, staff worried that no one would step up to adopt the collective 350 pounds of big hairy dog. But lucky for Goliath, Gunther, and Gasket and thanks to social media outreach, hundreds of applications have been pouring in.
Staff @EdmontonHumane say they can’t remember having “three ginormous breed dogs that were so bonded” before. They say it’s for the well-being of the dogs to be adopted together. “They’re lovely dogs, very playful, friendly [and] sociable… a delight to have at the shelter.” pic.twitter.com/0RmzYXwqHr

The social media fame also brought the trio to the attention of people who knew the dogs in their former life, who shared that the dogs are 5-year-old littermates, who have never been separated, and are so bonded they eat from the same bowl.
Goliath, Gunther & Gasket weigh a collective 350lbs.. and they’re considered underweight! The otherwise healthy 1-2yr old St Bernards are available for adoption starting tomorrow… with one caveat: they must go together. Staff at @EdmontonHumane say they have a strong bond. #yeg pic.twitter.com/GKWSbqq0Vc

While the shelter pores over the many applications for the three Gs, EHS continues to share videos of the boys playing together in the snow. We just love a happy ending!
IMPORTANT PUPDATE: The boys have found their forever home!
Gasket, Gunther and Goliath will get to enjoy a fenced one-acre backyard with their new family and dog brother. Congratulations!!!
