A lot of us wear dog hair unintentionally, stuck to every top, pair of pants, and accessory that enters a 10-foot radius of our dogs. But some crafty folks out there have taken things one step further when it comes to dog hair—and they wear it intentionally. The luxe name for this material is “chiengora,” chien being French for “dog”. Here are some ways you can sport your (or someone else’s) best friend’s fur in style:
1. Jackets
Two casual queens, showing us what love is made of.
2. Vests
I like how this woman was all, “don’t worry about it, I’ll stand in the grass.”
3. Scarves
No better way to say luxe than a scarf made out of poodle hair.
4. Hats
“They’ll never know it’s dog hair!” ;)
5. Sweaters
Goes well with cargo pants…and your dog, of course.
6. Spirit Baskets
A memorial when your pet has passed on but their hair is still everywhere.
7. Your Dog in Miniature
Aww, little babies in the image of from whence they came. Make your own with this Japanese craft book.
8. Toy Bears
Detta, Woofspuns™ creator, gets right to the point: “yes, it’s made from my dog’s fur.”
9. Dreamcatchers
A great prank to play on someone who made up their dog allergy so they wouldn’t have to hang out with you.
10. Mittens
In soft, winter white, which the dog they’re made from (pictured below) rocks all year long!

11. Slippers
If your dog fetches your slippers for you in the morning, this will totally freak him out!
12. Neckties
Chiengora for Him. Chiengora for All.
13. Raw Yarn
Because nothing says “I love you” like collecting the hair your dog has shed over the years and saving it for crafts.
This cat likes to watch yarn being spun from the hair of its enemies.
