Trainer Spotlight: Stacey M. And Her GoodPup Certification Journey

 

Before enrolling in the GoodPup Certification Program, Stacey had already gained plenty of hands-on experience working with dogs as a sitter on the Rover platform since 2018. But like many trainers, she had never pursued formal certification.

That changed when someone told her about the new GoodPup Certification program.The timing was perfect, Stacey had been researching online options and was drawn to the format and positive reinforcement focus. She also liked that it was offered free of charge, which allowed her to explore the field without a major upfront investment.

“The self-paced nature was wonderful,” Stacey says. “I really appreciated that I could set my own pace, my own timeline. The contacts within the program were very responsive… if I had a question, they got right back to me and I really appreciated that.”

Since completing the program, she’s launched her training services on Rover and found her stride. For Stacey, offering a full hour, paid consultation, and setting clear expectations has helped ensure bookings are a good fit.

Now that she’s certified and building a new arm of her business, Stacey encourages others who have considered diving into a certification course to go for it!
