Sick Dog Gets New Toy to Share Cone of Shame (and Snuggles)

For Dog People

Zep is a sweet dog who has been fighting cancer over half his life. Suffice it to say, he knows a thing or two about the cone of shame.

His mom tells the Dodo, “He gets sick quite easily. The most common thing he gets is dog dermatitis. He will be fine one minute, and covered the next. He doesn’t really get super bummed about wearing the cone, as he is kind of used to it.”

Recently, Zep’s mom got him a stuffed dog to share in his cone time. The toy is basically a mini-me that Zep takes everywhere.

I do not mind the cone of shame, when it’s shared with a friend. #coneofshame #dug #ijustmetyouandiloveyou #goldenretriever #cute

In fact, Zep loves ALL soft toys, including a stuffed duck named Quackity Jr. (replacing the original Quackity, who lost all his stuffing). Hopefully Zep can spread his toothy love evenly over all the toys equally and Dug will live forever.

We love you Zep, and we’re so happy you’ve got such a wonderful family.
