We are constantly looking for new ways to help animals and working with new partners is just one of the ways we do this. Today, we are excited to announce that the Ian Somerhalder Foundation (ISF) has become part of our Sit-a-Dog, Save-a-Life program!
ISF was founded on the premise that there is no significant difference between plants, animals and humans, and that all living things are part of one independent organism. Their mission is to empower, educate and collaborate with people and projects to positively impact the planet and its creatures. Like us, they believe that all creatures deserve to be treated equal and are working with organizations and people to further this.
We are extremely excited that ISF has joined our program and in addition to this, Rover has donated $5,000 to help support their foundation. Kim Klinger, Co-Founder and Executive Director of ISF said, “We are grateful and invigorated to see companies supporting and encouraging positive change in today’s world. Thank you, Rover, for recognizing that our work is important and supporting our change makers through donations.”
As a reminder, Rover’s Sit-a-Dog, Save-a-Life program allows Rover sitters to easily donate a portion of their proceeds to partner animal rescues and shelters and has been part of Rover since the inception of the company. The program currently works with over 40 organizations nationwide and has more than 1,200 Rover sitters who donate on a monthly basis.
