A documentary film called ‘Pick of the Litter’ is getting well-deserved buzz after Sundance Selects picked it up (see what we did there?) From all we’ve heard, this film should be on every dog lover’s must-see list. The documentary, which debuts this year, follows the real-life story of a litter of five potential guide dog puppies from birth through graduation.
The training is intense and the dogs work hard to make the cut, but not every puppy can be a guide dog for the blind. With over a thousand applications for guide dogs every year, it’s a Herculean effort to supply as many assistance dogs as possible to those who need one.
Learn all about the skills and training (and love) that go into the development of these amazing dogs by watching the film.
“Pick of the Litter” will be making a short run through theaters, and hopefully will become available online sometime soon. Check here to see if “Pick of the Litter” will be playing near you.
