Clear your calendars and get your dog, your snacks, and some Kleenex together, folks, because on November 16th, Netflix is releasing a six-part documentary series about dogs, and it looks amazing.
Each episode will feature the story of a single dog from a different part of the world, including the US, Syria, Japan, and Costa Rica, where an incredible street dog sanctuary will be featured. “The Land of 1000 Strays” is a must-visit for every dog lover, but even if Costa Rica isn’t in your travel budget right now, the Netflix series will take you there.
Thanks to an impressive list of directors, every episode has its own unique look and feel. One of the show’s producers, Glen Zipper, tells Variety: “Dogs don’t just make us feel loved, dogs make us feel safe. In the world we live in today, no matter how divided we are, we should take care to realize how much dogs mean to all of us, and how our bond with them can help bring us together.”
