Ginger the German shepherd needs a home, and her recent stunt could help. Ginger was surrendered to the Apple Valley animal shelter by a loving but homeless owner, who wanted a better life for her than living out of a car. That same day, Ginger made a break for it. She leapt out of a six foot high kennel, made it through three secure doors, and hit the road. Once outside, she ran the three miles back to her old neighborhood. Ginger was caught later that week, found on the same block where she’d lived before her owner became homeless.
Caught on tape: Ginger’s great escape
The shelter caught Ginger’s escape on security tape, and posted the footage on their Facebook page, in hopes of helping the clever girl find a forever home. The video has gone viral, resulting in a huge influx of adoption applications.
Smart & beautiful girl ISO loving home
As of this post, Ginger is still available. She needs an experienced home that can give her the training and love she needs. Luckily she’s smart and beautiful, so her stay at Apple Valley should be short.
