Celebrities are just like us—they love their pets. From capturing their puppy’s birthday party to snapping a photo of their cat being weird (we see you, Meredith Swift), stars often take to social media to share memorable moments with their animals.
While these 12 cats and dogs might have famous parents, they seem pretty content with a simple life of pets, treats, walks, and cuddles.
1. Ted the Dachshund
Now that Game of Thrones has come and gone, the Mother of Dragons Emilia Clarke has become the Mother of Dachshunds. Ted makes frequent appearances on his mom’s Instagram and seems to be living a lavish life full of mischief and puppy birthday parties.
2. Gino the German Shepherd
We’re a sucker for good boy Gino whose parents are Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. Gino even has his own Instagram (@ginothegerman) which also features his dog siblings, Diana and Panda. Though both of his parents are famous, Gino enjoys a down-to-earth life full of fetch and naps.
3. Meredith the Scottish Fold
We knew Meredith was trouble when she walked in! Taylor Swift has always openly doted over her trio of felines which include Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button. While none are strangers to the limelight, Meredith is the OG and was adopted back in 2011.
4. Dumpy the Chihuahua
The Flight Attendant star Kaley Cuoco is a self-proclaimed animal lover. She is a proud pet mom to a myriad of animals, though our personal obsession is her elderly rescue Chihuahua, Dumpy. Cuoco started fostering Dumpy during the pandemic, and eventually provided him with his forever home.
5. Kal the American Akita
Henry Cavill’s gorgeous American Akita is clearly his pride and joy. As a devout dog lover, Cavill shares photos of Kal often and even lets him tag along to press interviews for his Netflix series, The Witcher. According to this Instagram post, his bond with Kal has become “second nature.”
6. Foe the French Bulldog
Megan Thee Stallion’s Frenchie, Foe, is every bit as iconic as his famous mom. His Instagram chronicles the life of a true superstar: flying in private jets, helping record music, dressing to the nines, and even traveling the world!
7. Scout the Rescue Pup
The Bachelor alum Colton Underwood’s sweet new rescue puppy is also of the cute and fluffy caliber. Alongside big brother Zooka (Colton’s German Shepherd/Husky/Labrador mix), Scout is sure to embark on plenty of adventures with his new family.
8. Redford the Pug-Terrier Mix
While Emily in Paris might be busy posting selfies and eating croissants, actor Lily Collins is busy caring for her rescue dog named Redford. Collins adopted this canine in 2019 and it’s clear from her social media that the pair have been inseparable ever since.
9. Biscotti the Tabby
Who knew that the Hulk was such a cat lover? If you follow Mark Ruffalo on Instagram, you’ve likely seen the adoring posts featuring his feline family members. Biscotti’s handsome brother Felix can also be seen from time to time.
10. Pearl the Basset Hound
We just might petition for Chrissy Teigen and John Legend to up their dog content game! The star-studded couple has three dogs in their home—Pearl, Penny, and Petey— all of whom occasionally get their moment in the spotlight on one of their parent’s Instagrams.
11. Timmy the Fluffball
To all the dogs who loved me… Lana Condor’s puppy Timmy looks like he is true cuddle material. This little guy graces the actor’s social media often and is usually spotted alongside his (equally adorable) dog sister, Emmy.
12. Gary the Golden Retriever
Jimmy Fallon’s gorgeous girl Gary the Golden is as perfect as can be. Fallon posted this photo for National Pet Day, though Gary has made numerous appearances on the talk show host’s Instagram before—just because.
