Dog’s Day Out: Boise

If you’re in Boise and looking for the perfect day out with your dog, Rover has you covered. We talked to our community of dog people in Boise to get their recommendations for the best dog-friendly activities their city has to offer. This complete route includes a fabulous dog walk, dog park, and dog-friendly restaurant. Your dog is ready for this! Read on for all the details you need.

For more dog adventures, check out our dog-friendly guides to cities across the country.

Total Distance: 2.2 miles / 45 minutes of walking

In Boise, you can start your dog-walking adventure at the dog-friendly Cloud 9 Brewery, a “nanopub” that features locally sourced and organic brews and bites.

When you’ve had your fill of IPAs and street tacos, head to Ann Morrison Park. Start by heading south on State St to 16th St and hang a right. Take 16th until it merges with 15th St and becomes S. Americana Blvd. Continue on S. Americana across the Boise River until you reach the park and its variety of fields, gardens and riverside trails.

If your dog wants to keep going, end the day at Morris Hill Dog Park by continuing down S. Americana Blvd onto Emerald Street and taking a left on N. Roosevelt Street.
