Maybe. Dogs do not process fat as easily as humans do, so cheese should only be served as an occasional snack. Many dogs are lactose-intolerant, and should avoid all dairy products. However, cheese can be a convenient way to dispense your dog’s medication: placing a pill in a small amount of cheese is a common trick. You should not feed your dog high-fat or highly-processed cheeses, though.
If your dog has any unusual symptoms, talk to your vet about whether your dog could have a dairy allergy or lactose intolerance.
