Maybe. If your dog has eaten cantaloupe rind, she’s definitely not in any serious danger. But cantaloupe rind is tough to chew, swallow, and digest, so it’s best not to feed your dog cantaloupe rind intentionally. The fruit of the cantaloupe, however, does have health benefits when served in moderation.
Symptoms to Look For
If your dog has eaten cantaloupe rind, keep an eye on her for a day or so. She may be absolutely fine, she could vomit, or you may notice changes to her stool. All of these symptoms should pass within about 24 hours, but if you notice anything lasting beyond then, call your vet.
