At Rover, we’re always looking for ways to help sitters grow their businesses and connect with more pet parents. While many sitters already promote their services online through referral links, social media, and Rover profile sharing tools, we know there are also strong opportunities offline in the places pet parents already spend time with their pets.
That’s why we’ve launched personalized printable flyers for sitters, designed to help providers promote their Rover business in their local communities.
What’s changed
We’ve introduced personalized printable flyers that sitters can now use to promote their services in local spaces.
Each flyer includes:
- Key information about the sitter
- A direct link to their Rover profile
- A personal QR code for easy mobile access
This gives pet parents a simple way to discover and book trusted local care in just a few taps.
Why this matters
Sitters have traditionally relied on digital tools to attract new customers, including sharing referral links, posting on social media, or displaying QR codes in person. While effective, these approaches can be limited in offline environments such as neighborhood bulletin boards, pet stores, or community spaces.
Recent sitter research reinforced a strong appetite for more offline-friendly tools:
- 72% prefer a mix of online and offline promotion methods
- 21% prefer mostly offline methods
- Only 8% prefer mostly online methods
We also asked where sitters are most likely to advertise their services. The top responses included:
- Veterinary facilities (69%)
- Pet stores (56%)
- Communal areas (49%)
- Dog parks (46%)
We believe giving sitters simple, effective offline marketing tools can help expand reach and attract new customers. Many Rover sitters run small independent businesses, and we’re focused on supporting them with tools that help them succeed whether online, offline, or both.
This launch marks another step in helping sitters build lasting local relationships and grow their businesses on Rover.
