“Our Yorkie Max loves going to spend time with Jen! As we get close to her home, he gets excited and his tail wags nonstop! He runs right up to her door and runs inside to see her two loving dogs-his buddies! We couldn't ask for a more loving environment for our special senior dog Max. Jen is the BEST, and highly recommend her!”

“Deanna was amazing with our dog Bailey!! Bailey even need alittle extra care since he was just a few days out from being neutered. Deanna definitely cared for him like he was her own and gave me plently of updates. I was able to be away and not worry about my pup at all since he was in such good hands! I highly recommend Deanna and we will be using her again in the future!”

About: I have over 20 year experience owning, showing and competing dogs for clients as well as my own. I have titled/finished dogs in conformation shows and agility and currently own working German shepherds that are trained for personal protection. I am extremely confident working with any breed or temperament! I currently own and manage a small farm raising sheep, goats and cows which gives me a lot of free time I’m looking to fill. I am home all day and can take care of your pets while you are working or away I have a fenced in yard and 3 dogs that can keep your pups entertained during their stay and if they are not dog friendly we can accommodate that as well! I work from home so I have plenty of time to make sure all your pets needs are met! We have dog friendly pups that can also play with your pup if requested! We have a fenced in property and supervise your pups at all time wether they are inside or outside. We can also crate them as needed/requested by owners!
“Elizabeth was a life savor! I had last minute reached out to see if she could watch my puppy and she was able to accommodate to do so. I felt extremely comfortable leaving my girl with her! She’s super friendly and you could tell she has a genuine love for animals. She was sending me pictures throughout the day and I could tell Nova was having a great time. I would recommend Elizabeth to anyone! Thank you so much for taking great care of my crazy pup Elizabeth!”

Sureya took my dog Corbin without a two hour notice and I was so thankful especially being away from home. Sureya took great care of Corbin and I will definitely use her again when near the area.”

About: Over the past several months, I've had the pleasure of caring for dogs and cats of all ages, from energetic puppies to sweet senior companions. Every pet has their own unique personality and routine, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I have experience administering medications to senior dogs and understand the importance of following care instructions carefully and consistently. Whether it's sticking to feeding schedules, giving medications, going for walks, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. When I house sit, I also take great pride in caring for your home. I always aim to leave it cleaner than I found it, so you can come home to happy pets and a tidy, well-cared-for space. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing both your furry family members and your home are in caring, reliable hands. Caring for animals is already woven into my daily rhythm. I work part-time with flexible hours, giving me plenty of space in my schedule for peaceful walks, playtime, and check-ins with pets. I’m used to creating a balanced routine around my own dog, and bringing that same calm, attentive energy to other pets feels completely natural. I am currently free to sit/walk any day of the week as well as house sit for as long as you need. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, calm, and familiar environment for them. I follow your routines exactly as you outline them — from feeding instructions to walk times to any training cues your dog is used to. I keep doors and gates secured, monitor their body language closely, and make sure they always have fresh water and a comfortable space to relax. Trust is extremely important to me, so I communicate clearly, send updates/photos, and treat your home with the same respect and care I treat your pet.
About: We got our first pup in 2011. All 3 dogs we’ve owned have been since they were puppies. We’ve taken care of pups who require shots and pills. We treat pups in our house like family members. My husband and I have off weekends. My husband works from home so dogs get let out frequently. I’m a high school teacher so I also have summers off. We’re happy to follow your routines so they feel at home. I have 2 friendly dogs who love kids & pups. We just ask that your pup is friendly with kids and dogs, and is comfortable being crated for short periods of time, if needed.
“Liza had a great time with Jen!! Jen is really caring and was really attentive to put Liza at ease, not always a simple task as Liza has separation anxiety. Jen was very responsive, took a bunch of pictures, and sent me lots of updates. I really appreciated it and highly recommend her!”

Pet care has been a way of life for me for the last 13 years, I own an animal rescue but am taking a 2 year hiatus, but miss having dogs around all day. I am home 90% of the time, so I am there to let dogs out who might not be potty trained or sometimes we just lay on the couch watching TV and getting rubbed. I have a fenced in yard with lots of room to roam. I also have Mr Donovan, 110 pound hound mix that lost his 2 playmates in the last 2 months, so he would love having another friend to hang/ play with.

About: I grew up on retired farm land, so I gained lots of experience raising and training several dog breeds, all sizes and ages. We rescued and fostered several dogs, cats, and rabbits over the years. As an adult I started fostering dogs and rabbits myself. Until recently, I was fostering primarily dogs. I have 2 shepheards and 2 pitbulls permanently placed in my home, as well as a dwarf rabbit. 2 of my dogs are trained and registered as service animals. I have a very adaptable home with lots of indoor/outdoor play space, as well as space to be separated as needed. I are very particular about keeping our food and water bowls clean with washing every day. I am happy to love you fur babies! There is rarely ever a time my pets are home alone. They all free roam and coexist peacfully, so I have a very calm house usually. We have a go out/walking schedule we follow to ensure proper exercise, as well as a secure feeding routine. My fiancé works full time, so I am the full time caretaker of the animals. Stranger pets in my home are introduced calmly and carefully, as to maintain a safe environment for all. Higher energy dogs meet my shepheards first, calmer animals meet my old boy first. My animals stay leashed infront of guests until a calmness has been reached. I have separate feeding bowls for all animals, water is communal as to resist territorial behavior. If calmness can not be reached, I have space to separate any unrully animals as needed. As a stranger in another animals home, I aproach very calmly and happily to respect their space. I am very adaptable to understanding and applying a feeding/walking schedule. Play time is always important, and my favorite part of the day! Lots of play time and pets are given to fur babies.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
