“Lindsay was communicative and took good care of my pup”

About: I'm 29 and live in Bishop, CA with my partner. I grew up always having many dogs at a time and was primarily responsible for their care at home throughout my adolescence. I've always been passionate about animals and lived in a household with pets my entire life up until last year. I've worked as a caregiver for patients with special needs, autism, and parkinsonian symptoms. While working with these individuals I took over household responsibilities, including walking, feeding, and caring for pets. Naturally, I am very patient and attentive with animals. I moved to Bishop last year and my fiance and I have opened our home to our friend's pets on many occasions. We have a wonderful, pet friendly home with a big backyard and we both love animals. I have a BA in Psychology and have taken a class in behavioral modification, where I learned an in depth approach to classical conditioning, which of course began with dogs. I'm not a dog trainer, but I am aware of how to increase positive behaviors and how to decrease negative behaviors. I am currently applying to Grad school and felt this job would be flexible enough to fit around school. I'm also the dance coach at the high school in town. Come August I'll have rehearsals twice a week, 2 hours at a time and will be away during game nights for performances. I like to climb, hike, and travel for dance. I'm home most of the time in-between and my partner works remote, which provides the perfect opportunity to accept pets into our home. Dogs are free to be themselves when they are here! We have plenty of couches available to sit on and open space to wander safely and freely. We have an enclosed backyard where they can run around or sunbathe. There's a creek they can dip their paws in to cool off. We keep a dog toy at the front door for any visitors. We live in a nice neighborhood that's great for frequent walking, but I'd love a list of your pet's favorite walking spots! We don't own pets, so they'll get all the attention when they visit!

“Sarah loves dogs, and is always attentive to their needs when we are either just hanging out with friends at the boulders, or dog sitting. She's grown up with multiple dogs in the house, and is excellent at spending time and patience with animals. If you turn your back for a few minutes, your dog may be walking through a hula hoop with her! I would trust her with my animals any time, and know they will be well taken care of.”
