About: - Please note: On my property I have created a private fenced dog park and will pick u your fur baby, travel to my private dog park, spend a few hours having amazing fun and then travel back home, happy as can be and exhausted! - I have been a volunteer and foster of shelter animals as well as rescuing and providing a forever home for animals for many years. I worked at a shelter for a short time before resigning to open my own animal rescue. Working at an animal shelter opened my eyes to so many issues and reasons why people surrender their animals. I am currently in the process of opening an animal rescue through fostering each animal while finding a forever home for them. In addition, my rescue will focus on educating the public on the responsibilities of owning an animal over its lifetime. Opening a Non Profit rescue is what I am doing in my spare time because I have to continue to earn a living to provide for my family. Dog/cat sitting is the perfect profession for me because I get to continue to work with animals on a full-time basis and I feel this is the area in which I thrive and can continue to help with providing the best care possible. Over the years I have learned something from every animal I have worked with and/or owned. In recent years, I have completed training in Behavior Adjustment Training and The DO NO HARM DOG TRAINING AND BEHAVIOR HANDBOOK. I have the skills to know how to positively and appropriately approach animals as well as interact with them in a healthy way. In addition, I have the skills to quickly earn the trust of an animal. I have lots of energy and would love to walk/play with your fur babies. I have experience administering medication to animals, and aiding my elderly dog in her declining health. I’m currently out of school for the summer so I have plenty of time to take care of pets. Time with your pets will not be rushed. I can crate your dog if needed even if they are big/stubborn I am very strong even though I don’t look it this also goes for walking, I can ensure your dog doesn’t get off of the leash. I will make sure to leave a clients home just as I found it and I am not afraid to pick up poop.

About: I grew up with a variety of animals, including several senior dogs. I fostered several dogs through the SPCA throughout my time in college, and am comfortable with a variety of behavioral and medical needs. I currently have two dogs of my own, one of which is a rescue. I work remotely, so I’m flexible to check on your furry friends throughout the day. If I do have standing weekly meetings, I’ll be sure to communicate those times so you know when I’ll be by. I do not do sitting in my home due to the reactivity of one of my dogs. I am very conscientious and careful with pets, and will make sure to watch your pet with a close eye, crate when needed, and utilize leash and outdoor safety skills when outside of your home.

About: We grew up with dogs and have been dog-sitting for thirty years. In the 90s, we had “Pampered Pets” in Boston, then we moved to Washington, DC, where we rebranded as “Top Dog DC,” and now we’re in Sperryville, VA, with “2 Dog Hotel.” Also, in the early 2000s, we raised four “Guiding Eyes for the Blind” puppies. Puppy raisers are critical to many organizations that train working dogs. Future guide dogs must be socialized in warm and loving homes, the puppies are fun, and puppy raisers learn about dog psychology and training. However, it's still not easy sending the pups off to college. Having done many "Intervac" house swaps, now we're getting into house sitting. We can take care of your pets and your home while you travel. We spend much time at home on our patio, gated deck (squirrel TV included), near a cozy wood stove, or on the nearby hiking trails. Since we spend so much time at home, keeping to your dog’s regular schedule is manageable. When we have dogs, we rarely do things where they can't join us. We only take care of one or two dogs at a time. The truth is we enjoy the pet therapy we get from dog-sitting, and the therapists seem to like it too.

About: I have taken care of young, middle and elderly age dogs throughout middle school, high school and college. Whether it be friends or families pets. I currently work for the National Park Service as a Park Ranger at Shenandoah National Park. As a Park Ranger I often interact with dogs on park trails. Before or after work I would love to take care of your animals and bring comfort of mind that your animal would be well cared for. I ensure that pets are well taken care of by providing a safe, healthy environment with proper nutrition and regular exercise, as well as preventative medical care.
