Communication was excellent from the moment she got to our home. We received an update and photo right away, followed by plenty of pictures throughout the stay of Rafa walking, playing, relaxing, and just being his goofy self. She even renamed our group chat with my husband in the cutest way, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our home was also well cared for. Everything was neat when we returned, the trash was taken out, we were told exactly where the keys were left, and we received one last photo and update before departure. As a vet tech, Lakshmi is knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring. We felt completely at ease knowing Rafa was in good hands and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, communicative, and compassionate sitter.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for over 10 years. My first baby was Kramer (cockapoo) and now I have a big boy named Koda (Golden Retriever). I love all pets, but specifically dogs. They are so loving, loyal, and kind, and I love to give that to them in return. I work as a professor at an university and usually done around 1pm each day, so I can let the babies out for their afternoon/evening potty breaks. I am also free for the summer due to school letting out, so I will have way more free time from May until the middle of August to give your baby attention any time of day. I have a fenced yard and a golden retriever for your baby to play with. Sometimes, I have my sister's dog to babysit so there will be another friend.

This began with just neighbors, family, and friends but due to my love for watching fur babies I have continued to throughout undergrad and I even volunteered weekly at a cat rescue in Albuquerque for 2 years. What sets me apart is my passion for ensuring your fur babies receive the BEST care. Each animal is unique in personality and you can rest assured I will be anticipating their needs throughout a house sit, check in, or walk! I am passionate about ensuring dogs do not walk on asphalt we would not walk barefoot on, ensuring adequate playtime, and taking their time drinking water. If I could be a veterinarian or vet tech I would, but I cannot handle the mental weight that comes with those career fields, so instead, allow me the opportunity to provide your fur babies the very best treatment and trust they are in good hands while you are gone. I’m currently working part time so I will have plenty of opportunities to play with your fur babies! I am flexible on time a that work better for your babies so their routines stay in tact while you are gone! For my personal care of my own pets, I have a fenced yard, all of my cats are fixed, and I do not let them roam without being on their leash. I take all precautions necessary with my animals AND yours to prevent easily fixed mistakes by just being mindful. Whether it be monitoring hydration, asphalt temperatures, or bathroom changes, I am constantly ensuring I have a full picture of exactly how your fur baby is doing.

About: My attention to detail and helping ensure pet parents have a relaxing time on vacay by proving top-tier care sets me apart from other sitters. I like to send pictures I’ve taken throughout the day to pet parents and let them know what we did for the day. My 3+ years of experience working at a doggy daycare has helped me understand our furry friends. I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages - puppies to seniors, given meds, and took care of a dog with paralyzed back legs. Love providing care for our furry friends! I’m currently working part time in the evenings typically on the weekends. Other than that, I’m free during the day/night. I typically work 4/5 hours in the evening. I’m off by 9 pm at the latest. For previous client care, I’ve either stayed overnight at their house or made several trips during the day and evening. If I stay overnight, I wake up let them outside to go potty and then feed breakfast (if they get it). Let them out again after breakfast. If I didn’t stay over night, then I would arrive in the morning and do the same process as if I stayed overnight. I will hang out with them and let them go outside to potty several times throughout the day. I will also try and play fetch if they like that. For dinner, it’s the same process as breakfast. I’ve also taken some dogs on walks to get their exercise in. Anything to keep our furry friends needs met!

About: I have several years of experience pet sitting dogs and cats for family friends, neighbors, and coworkers, and I also spent over a year working as a veterinary assistant. I have worked hands-on with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, temperaments, and energy levels. I'm comfortable caring for nervous or fearful pets, high-energy dogs, and animals that require extra patience or careful handling. I also have extensive experience administering medications and following detailed medical and care instructions. I now work as a wildlife researcher and have additional professional experience with animal handling, behavior, and husbandry across a wide variety of species. I'm comfortable reading behavior and adjusting my approach to the individual animal. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, anxious, senior, or just has a very particular routine, I'm happy to work with their needs and make sure they are comfortable and well cared for while you're away. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to spend plenty of time with the pet in my care! While I do have daily obligations that may take me away for parts of the day, I have plenty of availability for walks, playtime, meals, and lots of attention throughout the day. I provide care in your pet’s home, where they can remain comfortable with their normal environment and routine. I’m happy to provide multiple walks per day, plenty of playtime and attention, and meals, snacks, and medications according to their regular schedule. I will always follow care instructions closely and adjust my approach to your pet’s individual needs and personality.
