“Jessica and Theodore took great care of Norton and he seemed to love all the attention from their four young children. They sent lots of pics and updates and I felt very reassured that he was in good hands.”

“Dana was great! I needed a sitter at the last second and she was able to watch Colbie with no problem. She sent lots of pictures of her during her stay, and treated her just like one of her own dogs. I could tell that Colbie received lots of love and attention and was very happy. She got fresh chicken mixed with her food for dinner every night, and was even allowed to bring her favorite toy home with her. I will definitely be booking with Dana again in the future!”

“We are repeat customers and couldn’t be happier with the care our dog receives. It’s clear how much love and attention they give, which gives us so much peace of mind. We especially appreciate the regular pictures, videos, and updates—they really help us feel connected while we’re away. Knowing our dog is not just being looked after, but truly loved and cared for, means everything to us. Highly recommend!”

“Rachel and Mike provided an outstanding boarding experience for MY CAT, Fluffy. Awesome!!!! From the moment I left her in their care, I knew she was in the best hands. They consistently went above and beyond, making sure Fluffy received plenty of love, attention, and treats. What really set them apart was the thoughtful updates they provided—seeing pictures of Fluffy enjoying her stay brought us so much peace of mind. Rachel and Mike’s dedication to Fluffy’s comfort was truly remarkable. They even covered additional expenses to ensure she had everything she needed until we could settle up with them. 😉 Their genuine passion for pets is clear in every interaction, and it made a world of difference. If you’re searching for a reliable and caring pet boarding power couple, look no further than Rachel and Mike. They treated Fluffy like their own, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend them for anyone who wants the best for their furry family members!”

“Just concluded our first stay with Danielle. More happy with this stay than any other I have booked previously with other sitters through Rover. I got pics, videos, and updates multiple times each day. I could tell the way my girl ran around the house when I got there that she was comfortable with her surroundings and I witnessed her loving to play with Danielle's dogs and sons. Peach looked great and healthy and was very happy when I picked her up.”

“Duke had a wonderful experience with Christina and Daniel. When we arrived to pick Duke up, he and Daniel were just coming back from.a run in the field. We could tell that Duke was well cared for and comfortable in their care.”

“Absolutely loved Stephanie and Stanley! What a relief to leave our baby in a loving home for a few days while we attended a conference at Oglebay Resort and extended our stay to spend time with our kids and grandson from out of state for Christmas. Stephanie was wonderful about following Buddy’s normal routine and sending me photos and updates, so I’d know how well he was doing. Can’t thank her enough. Just wish she lived near me. Happy Birthday, Stanley!”

We’ve been caring for dogs together since 2013, and our animals live fully alongside us in everyday life, from couch snuggles to family adventures. Our dogs are regularly vetted, deeply loved, and yes—often spoiled. In addition to long-term pet care, we’re proud foster parents with The Road Home Animal Project and have lovingly fostered over 22 dogs (and counting), each with unique personalities and needs. This experience has made us patient, adaptable, and confident caring for dogs of all ages, energy levels, and backgrounds. Your pup won’t just be watched—they’ll be welcomed into a calm, happy home with a whole family devoted to their comfort and care. Pet care is woven into our daily life. My husband works remotely five days a week, I work part-time, and evenings and weekends are open—perfect for one-on-one attention, extra spoiling, and playtime with our dogs who love having new friends. We care for pets like family, offering fenced yard play, neighborhood walks, and crate options when needed. Our friendly, sometimes vocal dogs enjoy playmates, and pets are fully included in our home with supervision, comfy furniture, and attentive care.
“Heidi and her family were fantastic with our dogs. Our older dog Caesar is very timid and finicky and our younger dog Brady is very energetic and investigative. They accommodated both their personalities perfectly. Heidi’s daughter even prepared a nice hide away for Caesar in her room. We could not have been happier with their care.”

About: I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I am a stay at home Nana. I am available any day of the week. Possibly open for longer overnight stays…that would just depend on availability. I am home all day for constant potty breaks, attention, scheduled feedings and of course all the love ❤️ I have 10 acres of country land. When taken outside they will be constantly supervised and never ever left outside alone. I leash all puppets when outside unless the owner says they can be unleashed.
“Nala had an absolute blast with Layla! She took great care of my baby and she had such a fun time playing with her dog, Layla. Not only did Nala have an excellent sitter but she had a wonderful playmate to enjoy her time with”

About: I have been helping to take care of animals of all kinds since I got my first dog at 5 years old. Now 21, I have over 15 years of animal care experience by helping the pets of family, friends, and neighbors. I have my Girl Scout Bronze Award for setting up a pet fair that helped raise awareness and funds for local organizations that benefit animals. I am accustomed to training new pets and ensuring that senior pets get the best care they need. I can walk, feed, play, and do anything you may need to ensure that your pet is well taken care of while you are away. I am currently working part time, which entails that I have a very flexible schedule and am able to make anything work. I am willing to sit at my own residence and yours. My schedule is very flexible which means I have plenty of time to spare on making sure your pets are okay and taken care of. My backyard is fenced off and has two levels ensuring that your pets have plenty of room to run and play! I also have a dog of my own to make sure your pet has someone to play with. My house is very secure and has lots of friendly neighbors with their own pets who would love to play and meet yours. I also live with 3 other people, which means your dog is never left unsupervised for too long.
About: I grew up in the countryside, so I have always been surrounded by animals and I feel really comfortable with them. I have experience taking care of them (bathing, food, medication, specials needs) and giving a lot of love to different members of the family from small birds, rabbits, cats, geese, dogs, goats and horses. I have a lot of patience with pets, I understand their needs and I try to make them feel comfortable and respected. I work from home: Mondays and Fridays, so your pet won’t be alone. During Saturday and Sunday, I do outdoor pet friendly activities (hikes, long walks). I'm a very responsible and trustworthy person. I can assure you that while taking care of your pet, I will follow all your instructions to keep it safe and happy at all times. I also have experience with pets that have feeding problems and require more attention to eat. I like to report with photos and messages to make you feel calm and informed.
“I would describe Chef’s stay with Elle as like staying in a Camp doggie … full of activities like off leash hiking In a park morning and/or afternoon , playing frisbee/ball in their big backyard with her family , and if you get lucky like Chef, you get to learn how to swim in the pool and learn how to jump like those agility courses . Chef stayed overnight for 5 nights , and he was treated like family . We are so lucky to have found Elle to watch our dog. And it was so nice that he gets to play with their border collie Eve , as well as other dogs in Elle’s care for the day . It’s really a nice feeling to leave your dog to a family that enjoys taking care of them as well as knowledgeable and very confident in all things doggie ? Oh and while we were away , we got so many updates like pics, videos of every activity that they did . It was fun to watch and very reassuring to see . Thank you very very much !”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
