Kimberly is excellent! It is obvious that she loves dogs and loves spoiling them (and my dogs loved her). I received updates and pictures throughout my dogs' stay. My dogs were happy, relaxed and so comfortable. Thank you so much Kimberly. We will be boarding our dogs with you again! You are wonderful!

Sandra was a wonderful sitter for our German Shepherd. Pictures and videos and updates everyday, and our dog—who’s usually anxious when in a new place—took to her right away. We’re very picky about pet sitters, but I have no qualms about using Sandra again, and I plan to.

Erin and her husband were amazing!! They took excellent care of our dog, Nash, while we were traveling. He got numerous walks while staying with them and came home ready to nap (which is always nice when we are also coming back from traveling)! Would highly recommend and Nash absolutely cannot wait to stay with his new friends again!

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I truly enjoy. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, breeds, and ages. What sets me apart is that I provide a loving family environment where dogs are treated like members of the family. My home is full of attention, affection, playtime, and companionship. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and we take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I am comfortable following feeding schedules, administering most basic medications, caring for senior dogs, and helping reinforce routines and good behaviors. My two kids also love dogs and enjoy giving them extra attention and playtime, helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every furry guest. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your dog is being cared for in a safe, loving home where they will receive plenty of attention and affection. 🐾 I am currently in nursing school only 2 days a week and my husband works for a healthcare company from home so someone will always be there for your pup. I treat animals as if they are my own children. I will keep them safe and satisfied while you are away so you can have a peace of mind wherever you go.

Brooke and Jason as well as their kids took such great care of our little Lucy. We got lots of updates including photos and could tell Lucy settled right in with their family for the week having so much fun. We were very happy to hear the kids gave her lots of love too since Lucy is especially fond of them. We won’t hesitate to have Brooke and Jason watch Lucy again in the future.

About: Hi! I’m Evelyn, a veterinary technician with 8 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Caring for animals isn’t just my career—it’s something I truly love. Working in veterinary medicine has taught me how to recognize when pets are stressed, uncomfortable, or not feeling their best. Whether your pet needs medication, a fun walk, overnight companionship, or just a little extra patience, I’ll care for them like they’re my own. Every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I enjoy taking the time to get to know what makes them happiest. I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, and in caring, experienced hands. My schedule works well for pet care because I have a consistent full-time routine and a one-hour lunch break that often allows me to check in on pets or provide midday visits when needed. Outside of work, I love staying active through running and daily walks, so I enjoy keeping dogs happy and engaged while always matching the pace to each pet’s age, energy level, and needs. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and pet care throughout the week and on weekends. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care while keeping your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. As a veterinary technician, I’m trained to recognize signs of stress, illness, anxiety, and changes in behavior, but I also know that the best care often means helping pets feel relaxed, secure, and loved. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with my friendly dog and make sure every pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, and supervision. I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, whether that includes feeding schedules, medications, or crate training, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how they’re doing.

Jennifer has taken care of our Labradoodle since moving here to Lexington 2 years ago. We have been very happy because our dog is happy when he stays with her and happy when he comes home. This trip we ran into travel delays because of the storms last night here in Kentucky. Jennifer was so accommodating with our travel delays. Thank you Jennifer for taken good care of our dog.

My pups were happy and exhausted when I picked them up from all the playing they did on the farm. Victoria was very sweet and knowledgeable. My 11 month old dachshund had really regressed in potty training and since Victoria is a certified trainer, she was able to give me some helpful tips on how to reverse that. I plan to keep in touch with her for private training sessions as well in the near future!

About: We came across the Cavapoo breed as our loving Rottweiler was on his journey to his “better place”. We chose the Cavapoo breed as our furry rainbow puppy to help us all with the tough loss. Fast fwd 5 years, and WOW, still can’t believe the journey that was created for us. Dog breeding, training, boarding and grooming just the way I would want my pups taken care of…in a home. Our setup is ready for all stages of dogs and of course, personalities. This is a small family business and we make pet care fit seamlessly into our lives. We’re a party of 4 and all hands are always on deck. 4:00 am wake up call during the week and 6:00 am on weekends. Caring for pets in our home can consist of taking your pets normal routine that’s already established and following it. Help keep your animal on a schedule of food timing to crate or bedroom boarding. We live in a neighborhood with a 6 foot privacy fenced in back yard. A 3,000 gallon Koi pond surrounded by 800 square feet of deck. Nice plush outdoor furniture for the dogs to lounge next to the pond after a drink. We have also built a 200 square foot doggie palace on our property. Full electricity with heating/air and additional ceiling fan. Great for rainy days or dogs who are lone rangers and/or feisty.

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
