This is the 2nd time I have used Eva and I will definitely book her again. This time we had a new dog. My Nova is very skittish and anxious. I have been working with her since January and everything is new to her. I knew she would shut down again if I tried to put her in a kennel situation. Eva came and met her and took the time to make her feel comfortable and safe. She is a great sitter! I received lots of updates and pics! Would highly recommend her!

About: Hello all pet parents! I am new to Rover. I've recently relocated to Luling, TX. I am looking for small gigs like taking care of furry friends because pets are my life, as I'm sure they are yours too! Most of my professional and personal experiences with pets have been with dogs and cats, to include feedings, scheduled walks and playtimes, administering medications, bathing, nail trims, and just plain ol' cuddling. I am big on SAFETY as it is the most important thing when your pet is away from you or in someone else's care. I understand different breeds may need different types of attention, especially when factoring in age and certain health conditions. Please allow me a chance to meet your pup (or cat) and help you out occasionally! Cheers! (Smaller critters welcome, we all need a little checking on!) I’m currently a stay at home pet mom while I attend online classes to become an educator, which is self paced. It is very easy for me to balance your pets needs with my own! I may allow overnight boarding from time to time in my own home, I will keep my calendar open for that accordingly. I can take your pets outside to favored parks or areas, or care for them in your own home. I do not wish to stay overnight in your home, but may be available for extended hours.

Victoria was great with both of our pups. Our boy pup can be a little anxious but he seemed very comfortable the whole day. They both got lots of attention, love, and plenty of outside time. She followed the instructions we left and was very kind. Thank you again victoria!

About: I have dog sat at a family friends house for multiple years on multiple occasions, and I played with her, went outside with her and just made sure she felt loved. She also loves to cuddle, so we cuddled on the couch together. I been dog sitting since high school and I am now a college grad! I have open availability right now, as I am a recent college graduate and will have plenty of time to play with and take care of your pet(s)! I am able to play with your pet, and I can give them their food or medication they may need. I can also take them on walks within the area to give them some exercise!

Hannah was absolutely wonderful with our dogs and took care of our sugar glider in addition to keeping our house in good shape. We have two high energy 2 year old boys that did great under her supervision. Even our 10 year old mini aussie who is not a fan of most people and dogs was fantastic around Hannah. Highly recommend for the peace of mind knowing your fur babies are well cared for.

We were so nervous about leaving our dog with a stranger. Epiphany was so professional and came and met our dog beforehand to calm our nerves. She came into our house and immediately sat on the floor, loving on our dog. She was fantastic. Our dog had a small bruise on his ear. She was so attentive it was monumentally better when we returned. She was flexible, calm, attentive and professional. Your pets will be in great hands!!!

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and genuinely love caring for them. I have experience with a wide variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, corn snakes, bunnies, and chickens. I started dog sitting at 16 and have regularly cared for my cousin’s three dogs for multi-day stays. I also pet sit for my uncle’s small dog, Halsey, and previously cared for my sister’s cat for several months. I’m comfortable managing multiple pets at once and always make sure each one gets the attention they deserve. At home, I have an 8-year-old Shih Tzu who definitely runs the house — and I happily spoil her! I’m very patient with senior pets and those who may have accidents or need extra cleanup. While I don’t offer full grooming, I’m always happy to give baths in the comfort of your pet’s home when needed. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I treat every animal like family and provide lots of love, updates, and attentive care. :)) I currently work a part-time job only two days per week, so I have very open availability for pet care. My usual unavailable days are Sundays and Wednesdays. If my schedule ever changes, I always know at least a week in advance and will keep clients fully updated. I take my commitments seriously and do my best to avoid last-minute cancellations (Which has never happened!). Clear communication and reliability are very important to me, and I always respect my clients’ time and plans. Caring for pets in their own home is often the most comfortable and least stressful for them, and I always aim to keep their routine as normal as possible. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and personality, whether they’re very social or prefer to warm up at their own pace. I’m happy to provide plenty of affection, playtime, walks, or quiet cuddle time — whatever your pet enjoys most. I always follow your care instructions closely and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.

About: As a veterinary technician at a no-kill animal shelter, I care for hundreds of dogs and cats each year and have hands-on experience with medication administration, injections, diabetic pets, seizure disorders, special-needs animals, post-operative care, anxious or fearful pets, training staff on protocols, and teaching fellow fosters as well as adopters on animal care and behavior. I am also an accomplished foster who has hosted everything from queen cats nursing kittens to weaned kittens, puppies, dogs, and senior animals. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities and I approach every animal with fear-free handling! Lifelong animal lover and former small business owner, I've spent years working with animals of all kinds through veterinary medicine, 4-H, fostering, and therapeutic horseback riding programs. My flexible schedule allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day, and Blink cameras throughout my home help me monitor pets whenever I'm away briefly. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing plenty of love, enrichment, exercise, and individualized attention. Located near nature trails and a large enclosed outdoor area, I offer a safe, comfortable environment where your furry family members can relax, play, and feel right at home. My schedule is very flexible and I am able to take breaks as needed throughout my work days. I do not work on weekends, so I am always at home to attend to the critters! I am also available holidays. With experience caring for orphaned animals daily, including those requiring medications and specialized care, I prioritize your pet's health, safety, and happiness. My flexible schedule, attentive monitoring, and pet-friendly space with enrichment activities, cozy resting areas, and nearby outdoor access ensure your beloved companion receives compassionate, professional care while you're away. 🐾

We had Brooke and Steven stay at our house for about 10 days with our dogs and rabbits while we were away on vacation. They kept the house picked up and most importantly cared about our animals. They kept in contact with me the whole time sending me messages and pictures. I felt very confident that our pets were being taken care of very well. I would have them stay at our house again and take care of our animals.

FAQs for House Sitting - Belmont

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 557 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Belmont. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Belmont walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Belmont maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Belmont choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Belmont. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
