About: I’ve been trusted with every sort of pet from a tiny lizard to a giant horse. I also have years of experience working in a veterinary hospital and providing care to young and old pets. I currently work as a Behavioral therapist for kids with autism. I don’t start my work day until 12 pm and have plenty of time in between clients to care for your sweet animals. With a flexible schedule and plenty of time before and after work I can ensure all pets will get the time and care they deserve. I have a big fenced yard that my dog freely runs in. Where I also take my bunny and cat on frequent walks. All of my pets are very friendly and love the company of other animals.

About: I have over 20 years experience taking care of other people’s “fur babies”. I love them like they are mine. I am very responsible, dependable, observant and able to handle any unexpected situations that might arise. I am self-employed and work part-time so I have a lot of availability. I have the ability (and desire) to give pets quality time and attention. Every pet is unique and their needs are different. Some pets prefer physical connection while others prefer having a ball thrown for them to chase. Like us, pets each have their own love language. About: Experience with senior animals, large dogs, skittish animals, I have been taking care of animals since I was young and have a passion of animals/ animal care and often foster dogs. I work at FOAC(the animal rescue). I also have experience with medical dogs, including diabetes. I currently am enrolled in Columbia College but it is all online. Therefore I have time to walk dogs multiple times a day, as well as play with them. I make sure the animals get to know and trust me, show them love and attention, make sure animals are well taken care of no matter the kind of job I am doing or who’s animal.

About: I have owned dogs, horses, chickens and pigs my entire life. Prior to having my twins, I worked at a vet office for three years as a receptionist and vet assistant. While working at the vet office, I pet sat for clients dogs and cats when they went out of town. I also worked at a pet boarding facility before the vet, but at both places I cared for all the animals as if they were my own. I am currently working part-time night shift, I am a mom to my twin daughters that are three years old and my son who is seven months old. My husband is a mobile mechanic and makes his own schedule so if there is a prior commitment that I have my husband can be around for the short time that I am out. I treat every animal and home I pet sit at as if they're my own! I love sharing pictures with the clients to ensure they can feel at ease that they’re pet is being well cared for.

INTRODUCTIONS **Two situations for introductions:** - Introducing a new dog to resident dogs in the household. - Introducing dogs to each other at a dog park or social gathering. **Introduction procedure:** - Introductions should occur in neutral territory to minimize territorial behavior. - Use leashes initially to control the dogs and ensure safety. - Observe body language closely for signs of aggression or stress (e.g., raised hackles, stiff posture). - Allow sniffing and initial interaction in a controlled manner. **Warning signs I watch for:** - Growling, snapping, or excessive barking. - Stiff body posture, ears pinned back, or tail raised stiffly. - Attempted dominance displays (mounting, head-over-shoulder posture). **Reaction to stress signs:** - Immediately separate the dogs if signs of stress or aggression appear. - Redirect their attention calmly and assess the situation before attempting further introductions. FEEDING **Feeding multiple pets at once:** - Separate feeding areas for each pet to prevent resource guarding. - Feed pets in crates or gated areas if necessary. - Supervise meal times and maintain a calm environment to reduce anxiety. ANXIETY **Calming anxious pets:** - Create a comfortable, safe space with familiar items (e.g., their bed, toys). - Use calming techniques such as gentle petting, soothing voice, or soft music. - Engage in low-stress activities like short walks or play sessions to distract from anxiety. **Communication with owner:** - Document any signs of anxiety observed, including frequency and severity. - Provide updates to the owner via text or email, detailing activities and behavior changes. - Suggest strategies for the owner to continue managing anxiety after the stay ends. By following these safety protocols, I'm well-prepared to handle various situations that may arise while dog sitting, ensuring the safety and well-being of the pets under my care.

About: I am a born and raised farm girl. I have taken care of all kinds of animals especially dogs and cats. I love to take them on walks around the neighborhood. I have a lot of experience in general care and would love to meet and care for your fur babies. I have friendly fur babies here at home that would love to play with yours. About: Although I don’t have pets of my own, over the past several years I’ve had the chance to care for a wide variety of dogs of all ages and sizes. I live down the street from some dog friendly hiking trails and my backyard is quite large so the energetic pups are always happy. I am accommodating and love the experiences I have meeting each new pet. A highlight was fostering and finding homes for 5 kittens in 2022! I have a relatively flexible schedule and am willing to travel a reasonable distance, message me for further schedule details- most frequently available on weekends I have a keen attention to detail that can keep too curious pups out of trouble. About: We have a relaxed, clean and comfortable environment with fenced yard. My schedule varies quite a bit so just let me know what you need and I will try to accommodate. We have two 7 yo Terriers, one who is extremely friendly , The other takes a few minutes to warm up to new people and 2 caged Guinea pigs. I'm available most days and some evenings as well. I prefer medium to small dogs ( who aren’t constant barkers) And wouldn't be comfortable with a Pitt Bull. Please bring a bed, familiar blanket/toy and food. I also request no extremely dirty or muddy pets please and nails kept at an appropriate length since we do have mostly hardwood flooring. Thank you and hope to see you soon! We are up early. The dogs are free to roam around the house and our large back yard. We love to snuggle on the couch or run around outside. Our little guys follows us everywhere Your pet will get a lot of affection, comfort and snuggles. We have toys and extra food bowls. Please bring a bed, familiar blanket/toy and food.
