“Freddy and Monica were perfect for my little girl! She is shy and takes a little while to warm up to new people and friends but she quickly made herself comfortable and right at home with Freddy and Monica. They were professional, attentive to her needs/safety, and took great pictures of her throughout the day. I would highly recommend and will definitely be using them again!”

It was great knowing Marlee was in a good home environment and the large fenced in back yard option. Although they had construction going on, I felt like Marlee had plenty space to roam. If I’m ever back in this area again I would definitely trust them with my Marlee again.”

About: I’ve watched after many dogs, cats, and even bunnies of all ages since I was 12. While neighbors would go on vacation, they would rely on me to go over to their houses at least 3 times a day. I have three dogs myself and have been on ROVER for over a year. Usually my dad will come with me for meet and greets/first visits. Having three dogs myself, pet care is a big part of my daily routine! I have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to give plenty of time and attention to your dog(s). Walks, playtime, and making sure everyone is comfortable are priorities for me every stay. My family has a fenced-in side yard where dogs can safely play, and I also have three dogs of my own who love meeting new friends. If needed, I have multiple large kennels for crating to keep everything safe and organized. I make sure every dog feels comfortable and cared for while they’re here!

About: I've been working with dogs since childhood - my parents raised Pekingese & Dobermans. Even at 8 years old, I helped mama dogs birth their pups. My schoolmates thought it was gross, most adults thought it was weird, but I thought it was super cool to be a part of bringing life into the world through adorable little squeaking pups. Even though we were very ethical & loving with our pups, many backyard breeders are not, so I no longer agree with that. But as an adult, I fell in love with rescues & adopted a few over the years. Then I decided I wanted to be more involved with Rescues. So... I became a Foster Parent, assisted Black Dog Rescue, & was an integral part of Cooper's Companions Animal Rescue in Colorado before moving to NC. I usually ended up fostering unadoptable dogs & working with them extensively until they became adoptable. Then followed up with their new pet parents to help ensure success & making it stick. My specialty is working with fearful dogs, teaching pet owners how to get the behavior they want from their pet, leash training, & training dogs to walk on a treadmill. We have 2 little dogs who had a big 'sister' for many years, so all size dogs are welcome; Both of our pups are super dog-friendly. One of them loves to play with other dogs, and the other will play sometimes, but can be a bit of a snob. We want all dogs to enjoy staying with us, but... we won't tolerate a 'truly' aggressive dog in our home. My dogs don't attack other dogs, so should either of my dogs be attacked or if a human is bitten, the offender will be separated & crated inside, or placed in our separately fenced kennel area outside (only if you prefer) for the remainder of their stay. Any issues will be discussed with the dog owner to establish their preference in this regard. Otherwise, we'll shower your fur baby with love & attention so you won't have to worry about them when you're away. Please note: ***We will only board dogs which are spayed or neutered.*** If they are not spayed/neutered, we will be happy to do drop in or house-sitting care, but we will not be able to host in our own home. P.S. Rover says my response rate is 50%, but that's only because when I've been looking for a sitter for my own dogs and someone tells me in a message that they are unavailable, I don't usually respond. I just keep looking for an available sitter, so the software assumes I have a low response rate. 🙄 I work from home, so I'm almost always available unless we're on vacation or if in the event that I have to go on a business trip. We have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in. The previous home owners put in a separate fenced kennel, so that's an available option in case you prefer your dog to be separated. It's unusual, but some people do prefer that. We almost never use it, though.

About: I prioritize every dog’s well-being above all else. With hands-on experience in puppy training—from basic commands to leash manners—and a knack for offering gentle, attentive care to seniors, I’m ready to handle every pup’s unique needs. Whether they’re bursting with energy or need a little extra TLC in their golden years, I ensure consistent routines, engaging activities, and plenty of love and affection. I incorporate pet care into my daily and weekly routines, always with my friendly Goldendoodle Marty by my side! We schedule consistent walks, feedings, and play sessions to keep him active, happy, and well-cared for and I will do the same for your pups as well. I offer flexible care options—either in my safe, pet-friendly home or in yours. At my place, dogs can enjoy a spacious yard and fun playtime with my friendly Goldendoodle, Marty or solo. When I visit a client’s home, I stick to your pet’s usual routine, ensuring minimal disruption and plenty of one-on-one attention.

About: I have had cats and dogs throughout my life and have always been an animal lover. I have lots of experience with cats, dogs and horses and animals are comfortable with my calm nature. I am an honest and ethical person who believes in treating your pets the way I would want mine to be treated. My schedule may vary from week to week, but will revolve around the needs of the animals; generally, I work part-time from home and have a very flexible schedule. In your home, I can care for small to medium dogs, and cats of all sizes, as far as walking, playing, feeding, scratches, cuddles and belly rubs:-). I am only hesitant to walk large dogs if they may pull on the leash. Large, laid back, calm older dogs should be fine if they need to go for walks on the leash.

Brenda M.
“Good day, I have known Brenda Macias for over 10 years, and since childhood, she has shown a deep love and affection for pets. She has had dogs for as long as I've known her, and she has cared for them with great tenderness. One example is a dog named Stewie, who suffered greatly in his search for a home due to abandonment and neglect. Stewie developed a fear of confinement, but with Brenda, he found the love, care, and home he deserved. Stewie is now 10 years old and the best dog she has ever raised. Now that she lives with her husband, Brenda has three dogs whom she has showered with love and care. She has rescued two of them—one from the streets and another from a home where they were mistreated and malnourished. I have heard and confirmed that they are currently in very good hands, from their veterinarian to their nutrition.”
