About: Hi pet owners! I am Shelby and I moved to the Burlington area in 2022. l grew up with a precious Yorkshire Terrier and have had experience caring for pets of all sizes and breeds. I am located near Mackintosh Lake in Burlington and have miles of trails in my backyard to get your pet outside and moving while you are at work or out of town. About: I’ve watched after many dogs, cats, and even bunnies of all ages since I was 12. While neighbors would go on vacation, they would rely on me to go over to their houses at least 3 times a day. I have three dogs myself and have been on ROVER for over a year. Usually my dad will come with me for meet and greets/first visits. Having three dogs myself, pet care is a big part of my daily routine! I have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to give plenty of time and attention to your dog(s). Walks, playtime, and making sure everyone is comfortable are priorities for me every stay. My family has a fenced-in side yard where dogs can safely play, and I also have three dogs of my own who love meeting new friends. If needed, I have multiple large kennels for crating to keep everything safe and organized. I make sure every dog feels comfortable and cared for while they’re here!

About: My name is Erin and I've been In the dog industry for over 18 years. I'm a Certified professional dog trainer and also pet first aid and CPR certified. I currently own my own company training. I graduated from National K9 school for Dog trainers in 2016 and have done internships across the country. I've had dogs my entire life but really got involved with them after having cancer when I was 13, during that time I couldn't be around humans because of how lowered my immune system was, so I spend alot of time with therapy dogs. In a way, dogs saved my life and kept my spirits up during a very hard time in my life, and now I plan to dedicate my time to making every dog I come across happy! I personally have 2 dogs. My oldest is an Australian shepherd mix named Dodge who is almost 11, And Rebel is a Belgian Malinois who just turned 8! My whole life is dogs and has been for as long as I can remember. I have a very active dog myself and I know what a challenge it can be sometimes. I'm canine CPR and first aid certified with many refrences both personal and professional. Dogs are never left unattended and are usually double leashed when possible.

About: I've been working with dogs since childhood - my parents raised Pekingese & Dobermans. Even at 8 years old, I helped mama dogs birth their pups. My schoolmates thought it was gross, most adults thought it was weird, but I thought it was super cool to be a part of bringing life into the world through adorable little squeaking pups. Even though we were very ethical & loving with our pups, many backyard breeders are not, so I no longer agree with that. But as an adult, I fell in love with rescues & adopted a few over the years. Then I decided I wanted to be more involved with Rescues. So... I became a Foster Parent, assisted Black Dog Rescue, & was an integral part of Cooper's Companions Animal Rescue in Colorado before moving to NC. I usually ended up fostering unadoptable dogs & working with them extensively until they became adoptable. Then followed up with their new pet parents to help ensure success & making it stick. My specialty is working with fearful dogs, teaching pet owners how to get the behavior they want from their pet, leash training, & training dogs to walk on a treadmill. We have 2 little dogs who had a big 'sister' for many years, so all size dogs are welcome; Both of our pups are super dog-friendly. One of them loves to play with other dogs, and the other will play sometimes, but can be a bit of a snob. We want all dogs to enjoy staying with us, but... we won't tolerate a 'truly' aggressive dog in our home. My dogs don't attack other dogs, so should either of my dogs be attacked or if a human is bitten, the offender will be separated & crated inside, or placed in our separately fenced kennel area outside (only if you prefer) for the remainder of their stay. Any issues will be discussed with the dog owner to establish their preference in this regard. Otherwise, we'll shower your fur baby with love & attention so you won't have to worry about them when you're away. Please note: ***We will only board dogs which are spayed or neutered.*** If they are not spayed/neutered, we will be happy to do drop in or house-sitting care, but we will not be able to host in our own home. P.S. Rover says my response rate is 50%, but that's only because when I've been looking for a sitter for my own dogs and someone tells me in a message that they are unavailable, I don't usually respond. I just keep looking for an available sitter, so the software assumes I have a low response rate. 🙄 I work from home, so I'm almost always available unless we're on vacation or if in the event that I have to go on a business trip. We have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in. The previous home owners put in a separate fenced kennel, so that's an available option in case you prefer your dog to be separated. It's unusual, but some people do prefer that. We almost never use it, though.

About: I have had cats and dogs throughout my life and have always been an animal lover. I have lots of experience with cats, dogs and horses and animals are comfortable with my calm nature. I am an honest and ethical person who believes in treating your pets the way I would want mine to be treated. My schedule may vary from week to week, but will revolve around the needs of the animals; generally, I work part-time from home and have a very flexible schedule. In your home, I can care for small to medium dogs, and cats of all sizes, as far as walking, playing, feeding, scratches, cuddles and belly rubs:-). I am only hesitant to walk large dogs if they may pull on the leash. Large, laid back, calm older dogs should be fine if they need to go for walks on the leash.
