About: Tucked away in the mountains, my off-grid home is more than just a boarding space—it’s a peaceful, nurturing retreat where both dogs and cats can feel safe, understood, and truly at home. I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals, and caring for them is second nature to me. Maybe it’s the Leo in me, but I’ve always been drawn to the independent, curious nature of cats, just as much as the loyalty and energy of dogs. I take the time to get to know each animal individually—their quirks, their comforts, and their communication style—because no two are the same. Whether they need adventure, structure, play, or just a quiet place to rest, I tailor their stay to what suits them best. My own pack includes two amazing dogs, both of whom I’ve raised since they were pups—an Australian Kelpie who thrives on activity and focus, and a Husky/Malamute mix who loves adventure just as much as I do. I also have two incredibly special cats, Face and Lilith. Face, my shadow and best friend, was once a wary barn cat who took 1.5 years to trust me. Now, he hikes with me and my dogs, showing an adaptability I’ve never seen in another cat. Lilith, my Hemingway cat, appeared as a tiny, helpless kitten in the woods and has since grown into a thriving, playful companion. Recently, I also took on the challenge of caring for and finding homes for 21 puppies all at once—an experience that reinforced my deep commitment to the well-being of every animal that comes into my care. For dogs, my home offers the perfect mix of adventure and comfort, with plenty of space to roam, explore, and play. For cats, I provide a dedicated, dog-free space downstairs, designed just for them, complete with padded, cloth-covered shelves, sunlit lounging spots, and plenty of enrichment to keep them engaged. Cats are never let outside unless specifically requested by their owner, ensuring their safety. Whether you have a dog who thrives on companionship and outdoor adventure or a cat who craves quiet comfort and personalized care, my home is a place where they will be loved, understood, and cared for like family. I do have a large fenced back yard which is behind expanded currently. Pet care isn’t just something I do—it’s fully integrated into my daily life. Living off-grid and working from home means I don’t have a traditional 9-to-5 schedule, so my time revolves around the animals in my care. From the moment I wake up, I’m tending to their needs—letting dogs out to stretch their legs in the fresh mountain air, preparing meals tailored to each pet, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease. Throughout the day, I engage with them in ways that suit their personalities—whether it’s a long hike through the woods for high-energy dogs, quiet companionship for more relaxed pets, or interactive play for curious cats. Because I’m always home, no animal is ever left alone for long. I have the flexibility to adapt to their needs in real-time, whether it’s providing extra comfort for a nervous newcomer or giving an active pup the extra exercise they crave. At night, every pet settles in safely, knowing they are in a warm, loving environment. Caring for animals isn’t a job I clock in and out of—it’s simply my way of life. Exercise and outdoor time are a big part of my daily routine. I take my dog for runs or walks multiple times a day, exploring the beautiful mountain trails and giving them the movement they need. If your dog enjoys exercise and adventure, I’d be happy to include them in these outings, ensuring they get plenty of physical activity and enrichment. Whether they prefer a leisurely stroll or a high-energy run, I tailor the experience to match their needs and comfort level. If your pet has special needs—such as medication, a specific feeding routine, or any other care requirements—I’m happy to integrate that into my daily schedule. Every animal is different, and I make sure to accommodate their unique needs so they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for during their stay.

“Nalani was great with Gerald! I had to reschedule for a last minute boarding and she was able to take him in and make sure he was safe and happy! Will definitely be sticking with rover as my boarding whenever I am in need of a sitter for my dog.”

“We have never used a service such as Rover before, so when we got a puppy, we would a pet sitter from time to time. Denelle & Fred were fantastic! As we were not entirely sure about the service, they allowed us to meet prior to the pet sitting and let us have a good warm and fuzzy regarding letting them pet sit our dog Maisie. Drop off and pick up were easy and our puppy Maisie was well looked after! They are very nice people and have a great setup for watching dogs and we will hopefully use them again.”

“Adriana was so good with my small senior dog. I got lots of updates and photos and he always looked happy. Plus she walked him and played with him, let him sun bathe. He was spoiled in her care for sure. Thank you Adriana, Tiny and I will see you again soon!”

About: Dogs have been an interest to me since I was young. I can't recall a moment my home without one. I've cared for dogs of several different breeds, temperament, and intelligence. In grooming, I have experience in bathing, brushing, trimming and cutting fur of several varieties and styles. I've done ear cleaning, clipping/grinding nails, dematting fur, and checking and removing plant debris from paws. For exercise/stimulation, my experience is in walking, sprinting, toy play, and training basic commands. For medication, some experience is in medication administration (orally and injections), saline IV administration, ear ointment application and heart-congestion monitoring. I can follow specific medication timings as well as specific instructions to administer medication, from crushing pills to measuring and injecting saline IV. Also have experiece in providing accommodation for low mobility dogs, dogs suffering form specific physical conditions, or dogs suffering from anxiety. In dog nutrition, I am very aware of what dogs are able to digest and what is harmful for their health. There is extreme care with foods that are potentially dangerous to dogs. For their diets, I have experience in making and accommodated several different diets for dogs. Diets that I've had to accommodate are, kidney disease, whole food, meat only, puppy tailored, grain free, whole grain, low protein, and seafood. There is only one type of diet I am against and will NOT accommodate is the vegetarian dog diet. I have high experience to accommodate senior dogs. I've personally Raises 4 dogs into their senior years, two 17 year old, one 14 year, and one 12. With that I have experience in common conditions for elderly dogs, such as cataracts, mobility issues, trick knees, cancer, kidney disease, heart-congestion and more. As an avid weightlifter, I can manage dogs much stronger and larger than average dog. I am able to assist loading and unloading dogs up to 180lbs. I can protect extra small dogs from much larger breeds. Owning a 5lb chihuahua gave me experience on how to disengage and manage larger breeds that come into their personal space. I am currently part time and have a flexible schedule. Majority of my free time is after 3pm during all weekdays and mostly free during weekends. I can do certain times during the weekdays, just need to be notified a day before. My home has a fenced backyard that is cleaned 2x daily from dog waste. There are four other dogs, with one having a dominant personality and another being a very playful puppy. Both dogs can be separated from yours if they require a calmer environment. All four dogs are trained by me to behave, as well as barriers are all around the house to prevent unnecessary or unwanted interactions. Dogs will have a safe, solitary area provided to be able to retreat to if they need to. Dogs have 24hr access to clean water that is changed three times daily. Feedings are 1-3 times daily, depending on requirements and preferences. Dogs in our household usually eat a high meat, freshly cooked, and nutritious diet and occasionally eat kibble. Specific foods, diets and supplements can be easily accommodated for your or your dog's preferences/requirements. I've had lots of experiece with picky eaters as well.

Tina C.
“Our dog, Sherman, is an older Jack Russell Terrier and Chihuahua mix who can be quite difficult. He is a bit spoiled and tends to run away. Tina has dog sat Sherman many times and has mastered his life. When he is with her, he obeys and generally does what he is told to do. Sherman was cared for by Tina for a week. When she returned him to us at our home, we greeted Sherman at the front door, and he was joyful at being back. But after about 30 seconds, Sherman stopped jumping and barking and ran back to Tina to sadly bid her goodbye. So, it is fair to say that Sherman loves her and recommends Tina as a dog sitter. And so do we.”
