“Kalliah was wonderful! She took the time to get to know our cats well, providing playtime as well as feeding and cleaning. The pictures and updates were wonderful, letting us know everything was going well. She went out of her way to charm our shy little girl, and we came home to two happy and well adjusted kitties. ❤️”

About: I’m a very responsible and loving pet owner. Have rescued many pets and now have found myself with some free time and would love to help new pets and people! With notice, I am completely free on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays. (Monday, Tuesday & Friday I can be available for a few hours in the am) I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space to play and a kiddie pool to cool off in! I have three very friendly doggos myself but plenty of space so they can be kept separate if you desire.
About: I've been caring for dogs for over 25 years and truly believe every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and understood. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, from tiny Chihuahuas to large breeds, as well as puppies, energetic adults, and senior dogs who require extra patience, medication, or special care. I'm naturally calm, dependable, and attentive to each pet's individual personality and routine. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply quiet companionship, I adapt my care to what makes them happiest. My goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable while you're away. As someone who works for myself, I have the flexibility to provide reliable daytime care and give each visit my full attention. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in caring hands. I treat every pet as if they were one of my own. I work for myself, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide dependable, personalized care for your pets. I'm available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, medication, and companionship. I always do my best to be punctual, reliable, and accommodate your pet's routine. Your pet's comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. I believe pets feel most secure when their normal routine is maintained, so I take the time to learn their habits, preferences, and any special needs. I'll care for your home with the same respect I would my own, provide regular updates with photos, and treat every pet like a member of my own family.

About: Animals have always been part of my life. I’ve raised five dogs from puppyhood and have worked with many breeds, ages, and personalities. I also have experience caring for cats, reptiles, and small mammals, making me a reliable choice for families with diverse pets who need patient, knowledgeable support. I offer fully open availability, providing flexible, reliable care whenever your pets need support. My schedule is built around consistency and convenience for pet parents, and every visit reflects my commitment to animal welfare. As I grow my business, I’m also working toward my long‑term dream of opening a multi‑species rescue to help even more animals thrive. I care for pets in the way that keeps them happiest and most comfortable. In your home, I follow your routines exactly—feeding, walks, playtime, enrichment, medication, and any house rules your pet already knows—so their day feels familiar and stress‑free. In my home, pets enjoy a safe, supervised environment with structured potty breaks, cozy rest areas, and plenty of attention. Whether it’s walks, drop‑ins, boarding, or overnights, I make sure every pet gets individualized care, consistent communication, and a calm, loving experience.
About: I work professionally from home, so I can be available for your pets' potty breaks and feedings and make sure they have company during the day. My love for animals started at an early age, and there's nothing I love more than spending time in their company. I have experience with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and levels of training. I'm an active volunteer at the local animal shelter with dogs and have fostered very many cats and kittens in my home for them over the years. So I can work with the shy, hissy, nervous animals and love them all. I'm committed to providing the best care possible for your pets and know that that can sometimes include administering medication. As long as I'm clear on what, how, and when, I'm comfortable providing this service. I regularly send pictures and updates to help keep your mind at ease and confident that your pet is loving their time with me! I work from home as a manager for a tech company. This means that my schedule is flexible, and I can address food and potty needs around the clock. I work in an office with a door that closes and can keep your pets with me during the day or leave them free to roam the house. My house is on an acre of half-yard, half-woods. I will use a 100-foot lead for your pet any time we’re outside, and hey can explore the woods with me on a leash. I have a XL crate in my office that can be used to house your pet. I also have a dedicated bonus room, where pets that need a more quiet scene can go enjoy the warm, sunny window or the fluffy beds/scratch towers.
“Kiersten did a wonderful job caring for our cats while we were away. She followed our instructions, and our cats were relaxed and well fed. One of our cats has been sick and she gave him his medicines, and he is looking even healthier than when we left!”

“Kayla visited our furbabies for yard time while we went out on a date. Kayla was communicative, made sure our babes were well taken care of, and sent us pics immediately after the visit. We are very pleased with the first visit with Kayla ! ☺️”

And I give every animal I meet a personalized nickname! I’m currently working 40 hours a week. I leave around 7:30AM for work and get back around 4PM. With my current schedule, I could do weekend pet care or pet care for those who don’t need as much attention during the day (ie. don’t need to go outside to use the bathroom). To keep your pets safe in your home, I will follow all instructions regarding feeding, medication and routines to the letter! I also have a dog at my family home and a cat in my own apartment, so I am very vigilant about keeping doors closed and locked so no pets escape. I am also down to send update photos and messages if wanted!!

About: I have worked with dogs all my life. I use to work/help my mom at a kennel at the young age of 7 and our household was always full of dogs! I have had experience with many breeds. I've owned a wide range of dogs: pit bulls, labs, huskies, dash hound, terriers, rottie and pugs. I love to go for long walks, hikes, play fetch, take them swimming. I have a very flexible schedule so I could work the times around your needs and times. Dogs are my passion and I can’t wait to babysit yours!
About: I am a lifelong animal lover, and have owned dogs, birds, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters and mice. Currently I own 2 cats with my partner named Rebel and Scout. Growing up my family dogs have included lhasa apsos, dandie dinmont terriers, a german shepherd, and a golden lab. I have experience sitting all types of dogs so whether you have a small medium or large dog, i am comfortable with all sizes. I also was an American Kennel Club junior handler for five years and during that time I showed my lhasa apsos. I have assisted with 4 four litters of lhasa puppies and am experienced with house training, puppy training, care etc. If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them and look forward to the opportunity to become a friend to your precious pets! :) I am currently a homemaker, and am fortunate to have some flexibility! Just let me know the times/days you need. M-F preferred weekends are negotiable! My preference is to take care of pets at clients home. It is difficult to have other animals inside with the cats however I do have a fenced in area in my yard I can offer for them to be in!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Barre. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
