About: I’ve had all animals, big and small. Mostly labs, doodles, and retrievers, but also bully’s, Great Danes, and yorkies. We have a huge fenced in backyard and 2 doodles with the middle name “zoomies”. Our family is looking forward to connecting with you, and an opportunity to love on your pups. Someone is usually always home so crate time is very minimal unless that’s the preference. Plenty of time and space to run and play if weather permits. Huge fenced in back yard for running and playing as well as 2 doodles and 2 children who adore dogs to keep them company while they are hanging with us.

About: As a proud four-legged mom, I take pet care very seriously and treat every dog like my own. I’m available every day as a stay-at-home mom, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to your pets. I have two sweet, well-trained dogs of my own, Jadore and Jiovanni, who are the friendliest pups you’ll ever meet. I even have special days where I cook dog-friendly meals—because making pets feel loved and cared for is so important to me. When I look after your pets, they’ll be treated like family with lots of love, attention, and care. Pet care fits into my daily routine very naturally because it’s something I’m already doing every single day. As a stay-at-home mom and dog mom, I structure my day around making sure my two dogs, Jadore and Jiovanni, are happy, healthy, and cared for. That includes feeding, walks, playtime, training, and lots of love and attention. Because I’m home full-time, I have the flexibility to schedule drop-in visits and walks throughout the day without it ever feeling rushed. Caring for pets is more than just a task for me—it’s a part of my lifestyle. I truly enjoy spending time with animals, whether that means going on walks to get their energy out, making sure they’re fed on time, or just sitting with them for comfort and companionship. Every pet I look after gets the same care and attention I give my own, so it fits seamlessly into my weekly routine. To me, it’s not an “extra” responsibility—it’s something I love to do and look forward to. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always try to keep things as close to their normal routine as possible. I know how important consistency is, so I make sure they’re fed at their usual times, get fresh water, and have plenty of time for play, walks, and bathroom breaks. I love giving them attention, whether that’s cuddle time, playing with toys, or just sitting nearby so they feel comfortable and not alone. I also take care to follow any special instructions you provide—whether it’s medications, feeding preferences, or certain routines that make your pet feel more secure. I pay attention to their behavior and body language to make sure they’re happy and stress-free while you’re away. For me, caring for pets isn’t just about the basics—it’s about making sure they feel loved and safe until you’re back home.

Ashley was great! She was able to watch my baby last minute while my husband and I took a day trip into DC while we were TAD to the base for a week. My dog was soooooo happy and didn't seem to want to go home with me lol. Her dog was super sweet too and got along great with mine. I'd definitely use her again if we came back to the area!

About: Looking for a sitter who pays attention to your dog’s habits, follows your instructions, and understands that every pet is different? I offer boarding, daycare, walks, and drop-in visits in Raeford, with walks and visits available in surrounding areas. I also have access to Fort Bragg. My background in dog training helps me bring structure, patience, and mental enrichment to your dog’s care. Whether your dog enjoys practicing familiar cues or needs a gentler pace, I take time to understand what works for them. I also have experience with senior dogs and dogs with special needs. For boarding, I welcome dogs from just one guest household at a time. Your dogs can stay together without sharing their visit with boarding dogs from other families. They’ll join my two resident dogs in a home with a fenced yard, with compatibility discussed before booking. I welcome detailed instructions. Your pet’s feeding routine, familiar cues, preferences, and boundaries help me provide care that feels consistent with home. I also offer cat drop-ins for families who want their cats cared for in familiar surroundings. I do require meet and greets for first time clients. Daycare and boarding stays are required to be dog friendly and will be required to meet my two pups in a neutral location before booking is confirmed. Pets must be up to date on vaccinations and not be carrying fleas. Any and all behavioral issues must be disclosed prior to booking. This allows us both to determine if my care and environment is the best fit for your pet. Pet care is my main focus, so I have flexibility to plan visits, walks, and stays around your pet’s routine. Before booking, we’ll discuss the timing and attention they need to make sure my schedule is a good fit. I’m based in Raeford, with access to Fort Bragg, and welcome inquiries from Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and nearby communities. Include your dates and neighborhood when messaging so I can confirm availability for your location. My home has a fenced yard and room for dogs to play and relax indoors. I welcome boarding dogs from one guest household at a time, giving your pets individual attention while allowing dogs from the same family to stay together. I have two dogs of my own, so we’ll discuss compatibility and arrange a meet-and-greet before a first stay. Tell me how your dog handles play, sharing space, and downtime so we can assess whether my home suits them. For care in your home, I follow your instructions and respect your pet’s familiar routine and your household boundaries. Details are welcome, especially the little things that help your pet feel secure.

About: I have had dogs, all my life, from Chihuahuas up to German Shepards. I’ve had dogs who have had diabetes and cancer from the time they were puppies up to adult seniors. My dogs are my family, and they are spoiled rotten! I am retired and stay at home most of the time. The dogs are allowed to roam through the house as long as they behave themselves and they get plenty of treats exercise when playing outside. The only time my dog is kennel is when I need to go to a doctor appointment. My dog is a Weimaraner and black lab mix. She is a very hyper and loving dog who loves to play fetch with the ball. She is longing for a playmate, since her best friend passed away a few months ago.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Barker Ten Mile commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 205 sitters in Barker Ten Mile, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
