“Bethany was great! I put in a last minute request. She maintained great communication. She sent thorough updates and pictures. She even was able to get one of our most skittish cats to interact with her. I would definitely hire her again!”

“Heather was fantastic!! We have three elderly pets-two dogs and a cat. Heather administered medication and spent time with them so they weren’t lonely. They loved her and we enjoyed seeing the photos she sent us of them. We will be reaching out to Heather every time we need someone to drop in for our babies. Thank you so much Heather for giving us the ease of mind to have fun while we were away from home!!”
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats big and small since I was a teenager. I had one ornery cat (RIP Duke) and a small terrier/Chihuahua mix, and 4 chickens who are each very particular, so I can adapt to whatever your pet needs. I am also a registered nurse (for humans!) I'm happy to do dog walks and drop in visits for dogs or cats, mostly on weekends and the random Wednesday. I am flexible with timing if you just shoot me a message! I had an escape artist cat at home so am very used to watching him like a hawk while I come and go! I will treat your pet and your home as my own!
“My African Grey parrots were thankful for Becky’s company and seemed to enjoy her. We were grateful for her willingness to, not only care for our birds, but she also watered the garden for us!”

“I love her enthusiasm and excitement about my dog. Makes me feel like she really enjoyed her time with Alpine which is such a great feeling when I can’t be home with her.”

“Wonderful all around! Will definitely use again! So kind and sweet to my babies! Was on time and had amazing communication with me! My babies were happy and well looked after! Pictures were sent every visit and made me feel at ease seeing them have fun!!!”

“We are very pleased with Anna’s care of our pets. She shares detailed accounts of her visits, is reliable, and truly cares for the well being of our cats. We will definitely use her services in the future!”

About: I’ve owned pets my whole life - cats, dogs, and much more! Staying I have a strong love for animals and their well being is an understatement. I look forward to taking care of your furry friend whether that be a walk or taking care of them while you’re away. Please note that I also have a pet sitting business outside Rover as well. I do keep my calendar up to date in case I am unavailable due to being booked off Rover. I do have a full time 9-5 type job. However, I am able to work from home about 2 days a week. I am usually gone from 8:30am-5:30pm on days I do need to go into the office, however, I do have a great friend and neighbor that can help take your pets out if requested! I will ensure that your pet is safe throughout the time you’re away. Whether this be crating, dedicated play time, and making sure that there is nothing they can get into while you’re away. While I do have 4 pets of my own my home is big enough where I can keep the two cats and two chinchillas in a different room during your dogs stay. I do this to ensure that both your and mine animals are safe! They cats truly don’t mind sharing their space and are usually happy to stay in their “own room”!
“Ashley is the type of young lady that I felt comfortable not just watching my dog, but protecting him. If something happened to Winston I wouldn’t take it lightly. The last day she watched Winston she must of played with him for awhile. Winston always wants to go play when I get home. I usually lay in bed for a minute while you walks all over me to get me to take him out. Instead he passed out on his back snuggled up to me snoring and moving like crazy. He was definitely run I g in his deep sleep”

About: I had worked at a doggy day care facility for about three years so I’m pretty used to a wide range of breeds and their needs. My family also used to breed Great Danes so I have experience taking care of very little baby’s and dogs that need medicine and special care. I also own three dogs of my own and all different kinds of animals so I’m very well versed in taking care of unique needs! I just earned my bachelors degree in exercise science and am home for the summer looking for different job opportunities before attending graduate school in the fall! I currently am working a morning waitressing position that would make me unavailable from 8am to 2pm and am working a second shift waitressing position usually from 4pm-9pm. So depending on what you’re looking for in a sitter we could work around those hours and I will be available for morning, lunch, and evening potty breaks! I have had lots of experience with all different kinds of animals and am very passionate about safety and wellbeing. Detailed lists and consistent communication are what would make me feel comfortable giving your pet the highest quality care I could offer! I have been with rover for about 6 years now and still message with a few families when they go out of town or on vacation. I would make sure to replicate your routine within my home or yours!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Baraboo
Heather was great with my 3 cats for a week! She followed my instructions and asked questions when needed. It gave me peace of mind knowing my cats were being well taken care of while I was on vacation. I loved the pictures she took! All cats liked her, one in particular that surprised me as she's usually standoffish with strangers but she really warmed up to Heather. Thank you!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
