5. Carissa B.
“Carissa took care of our dog many times. He was a rescue and was very nervous around pretty much everyone except me. He immediately took to her. He slept with her in her bed when she cared for him overnight which helped him to feel comfortable in a different environment. She would sit on the couch and cuddle with him. She ensured he felt safe in the unfamiliar environment. We would drive over an hour to have her watch him when we went out of town because of the care that she gave. She is amazing with animals and has a super caring heart. She is responsible and dependable. She pays attention to specific instructions and always ensured Grover was taken care of in the manner that we wanted. She showed lots of love and Grover loved staying with her. I recommend her to anyone in need of pet services.”
6. Abby F.

7. Tabitha C.
“Taba has been watching my dog, Griffin, for years. Shes always done a great job and has always been reliable. She’s always been good about getting him exercise and giving him attention and I’ve never worried about Griff with her. I feel very comfortable leaving him with her even when I’m gone for multiple days at a time on trips. She has her own dog that’s she’s trained to do a bunch of cool tricks so I know she’s patient and comfortable around different dog personalities.”
8. Molly M.

Definitely an animal lover & if she could have 50 she would! So you allowing her to care for yours blesses her in return so much!”

About: I grew up with cats. In 2020, I adopted my first dog. I fell in love with dogs and adopted my second shortly after. After my second, I wanted more so I began fostering through a local non-profit. I've fostered a variety of ages, breeds, genders, sizes, etc. Each one has been a unique and fulfilling experience. I've fostered both cats and dogs. We do not have a resident cat. We are a military family. I myself am an Army veteran and my husband currently serves in the Army National Guard. My husband and children love animals too. We all have a strong work ethic and like to stay busy. Our resident dogs have opposite personalities. Our dogs are named after Star Wars characters - Obi and Tano. Obi is very playful, goofy and loves everythng. We adopted Tano at 4 years old. She came from a puppy mill and had a hard life previously. She is very calm and likes to chill most of the time with the occasional zoomies. They both have never had issues with other animals. I work from home full-time. I love having the company of animals during my work day. I take dogs outside during the day for potty and to play. We have a fenced in back yard. I also enjoy taking walks on leash in the neighborhood. My resident dogs have an electric fence. We have active security cameras in place if needed.

“JoHanna has helped many times when we have needed someone to watch our dogs. We have 4 of our own and she has been amazing with them all. She is reliable, confident to handle the needs our dogs have, and they just love her. She is our #1 go to whenever we need someone for our dogs!”
13. Olivia D.
“Olivia is very responsible, kind, and trustworthy. She loves dogs, cats, and all animals. She’s done a lot of research on animals and has spent a lot of time with different dogs and dog breeds. I know I can always come to her when I have a question about one of my pets or need a reliable pet sitter.”

About: My family always had pets while I was growing up. We used to breed labradors. When I was in jr high and high school I would do a lot of volunteering at the local veterinary clinic in Cottage Grove. My family has two wiener dogs (Slinky and Dewey) and one kitty cat (Zackary Binks). My sister is a dog groomer and I have on numerous occasions gone over to help her care for her puppy clients. I currently work a full time job on 2nd shift but am home durning the day Monday-Thursday and am home all day Friday through Sunday. I have a decent sized yard alone with an empty plot next to me to play with your fur baby. I also live down the street from a dog park that my kiddos and I enjoy going to with our own fur babies and would love to bring yours with to join in on the fun.

About: I've been a dog owner since I was a teenager; I recently retired and remain very active in the community so currently do not have a dog. I love walking dogs. It helps me stay active. I also like to help hard-working young people, who work long hours, still be able to own a dog. One day I hope to be able to offer dog walking services on a daily basis, so that people who are unable to leave their home still could have a dog as a companion. I am an early riser, so I can come over and walk your dog anytime from 6 am onward; However, as I am presently doing close to fulltime dog sitting for a 7 1/2 year old Golden Retriever in my own home, I am not looking to add another client. I can pick up your dog for a walk in one of the area parks. (I am a reliable and safe driver, and the dogs always stay in the back seat--I have a dog barrier); I love to offer a variety of parks to visit: Glover Park is wooded with trails that are shaded in the summer and are not salted in the winter; The White Pathway and Glen Park are paved, and also offer some shade in the summer; Ryan Desanctis Park has wide open spaces, a lot of sun, and ample walkways; Hoffman Park Trails are more strenuous and only suitable for dogs that are fit. I'm comfortable with providing scheduled meals and medication administration if needed. I am always on time. Personal references can be given. Please note, however, that I am currently not able to add new clients to my schedule.

“Peanut had an awesome day with Ashley. She is truly a lover of dogs. It was his first visit. Ashley sent me photos of Peanut snuggling with her, while guarding his favorite ball after playing. Ashley documented the day’s activity, including where they walked. It’s so reassuring to know she wants wants Peanut to be part of her family when he’s there. I highly recommend her for your fur baby! Thanks, Ashley??❤️”

About: I have a lot of experience with taking care of pets of all ages. I have had labs, golden doodles and retrievers. The more dogs the merrier. I am free early morning and most nights along with weekends. I can be available when needed for weekends or long trip. Happy to help. Our garage is heated at our house with dog beds. This room also is animal proof and has water and food. Very cool room/warm depending on the season.
18. Courtney P.
“I trust my animals with few people but Courtney is one of those select handful. She's very quiet which helps keep the stress level of the pack low when we're gone. Our fearful dog loves to snuggle with her and we often get photo updates. She follows written instructions well including feeding meals/supplements and communicates immediately/effectively if there's ever a concern with the animals or the house.”

About: I’ve owned cockapoos for the past 14 years, with experience in senior care and puppy training. In addition, I’ve been dog sitting a poodle for week-long vacations a few times a year for the past 8 years. We have had rabbits (housed outside) since 2020 - I’m an animal lover in general! We take our dogs with us for anything we possibly can - they’re a complete part of our family! Our older gal crossed the rainbow bridge in August 2023, and I would love to open my home to the joy of caring for other small breeds, while also allowing our almost-2-year-old cockapoo an opportunity to socialize. Being around dogs is my happy place. :) I’m currently a substitute teacher, working part time, for our local school district. I have the benefit of a very flexible schedule and a very short commute. I have a fenced in yard and an almost-2-year-old female cockapoo to keep your fur babies company. We love taking her on daily walks if you would be comfortable with that during your pet’s stay.

About: Animal care specialist and volunteer kennel worker for 10+ years. Animal lover since I could walk. I am very affectionate and gentle, hardworking and genuine. I work full time as a dental assistant, but my passion has always been animals. My dream is to become a traveling dog groomer someday! Any free time I have at the moment I want to put towards caring for animals and helping out families when they need a weekend away. There is no better feeling than knowing your fur baby is 100% taken care of while you’re gone. I have one resident dog myself, and typically an extra foster dog from CocosHeart dog rescue that I volunteer with. Although I do not have a fenced in yard, I have open space with a couple tie outs available. I have a large Ruffland performance kennel, and a large indoor pen for quiet time / bedtime. I have an extremely friendly pitt/lab mix (Ari) who is very gentle and loves any and ALL sized playmates. Your dogs will be loved and spoiled. Daily walks outside, and plenty of playtime.
