“Jen was great with our super skiddish dog who doesn’t have much experience with other animals or people but Jen ensured she would do great! I got pics everyday and she’s so quick to respond! Definitely rebooking with her in the future!”

“Ciara and her family were amazing! They treated our fur babies like her own and her littles just loved our girls. We felt very at ease dropping them off and picking them up and were very thankful for all the sweet pictures throughout their stay. Thank you Ciara!”

“Hanna was amazing with my dog Stella! Stella sometimes takes a while to warm up to strangers, but she felt at home with Hanna immediately. Hanna sent me updates throughout the weekend, including pictures and videos. She took Stella for walks in the woods, played with her and even set up a kiddie pool for her. I highly recommend Hanna!”

“Amy took on my babies with very short notice, and for that I am extremely greatful. She sent me pictures everyday and provided updates for how they were doing. My babies seemed to have a blast while they were there and they were well taken care of. Thanks Amy for taking great care of my furry babies.”

“Margaret was wonderful! My dog looked like she was on her own vacation at Margarets house. She would send me pictures of Lucy playing in the yard and what bedding Lucy picked. Lucy loved being at Margarets house. I highly recommend Margaret!”

“Sully had a wonderful stay with Cyndi! He was happy and well-loved while we were away. We received pictures multiple times a day and Cyndi went above and beyond to make sure Sully was comfortable and felt safe, even during all of the thunder storms during his stay. We can’t recommend Cyndi enough, she is fantastic!!”

“Our older dog, Olive, had a great overnight stay at Matt’s. We always feel comfortable leaving her there and appreciate the twice-daily updates with pics.”

“Peyton was wonderful - super responsive and agreed to watch my dog VERY last minute. I was anxious about leaving Ember because she typically has separation anxiety but she did great and Peyton sent updates and pictures the entire time I was gone. Great first experience with Rover and Peyton!”

“Jay was awesome. We were traveling out of town and she was en route to our destination so we had her watch our dog. Pick up and drop off times were flexible, she was excellent when communicating with us, and she was super nice. Bella (our dog) seemed to enjoy herself judging by her happy pics lol.”

“Excellent sitter. She was so professional and caring. She walked him she played with him. I got pictures everyday. Bruno got along with her baby. They became good buddies. I can tell Bruno miss Snoop her pet. When I have to go away again I definitely want Myrna to be the sitter. You will feel good about leaving your pet with her”

“Raye was the best sitter for my pup! He always seemed so happy and looked like he was having the time of his life in Raye's care. She sent so many great videos and photos while I was away and was so responsive to any and all questions I had. I will definitely be booking again for my next trip!”

“Michaela was absolutely fantastic with Zephyr and it was so clear he had such a great time with her this weekend! During our stay she sent tons of pictures to keep me updated on what Zeph was up to and was very communicative throughout the whole rover process. We met ahead of time during a meet and greet where Zeph got tons of time to get to know his new aunt Michaela and vice versa and it was clear to see how great she was with handling him from the start. We will absolutely be back and are so happy to have met you! Thanks so much for taking such great care of Zephyr!”
“Krystal and her husband were great! She was very communicative and flexible. Our cat was well cared for and had lots of fun with their cats. We will definitely schedule again in the future!”

“Susan was very kind and caring to my pets. She provided excellent service and she helped me out tremendously. She responded to me the same day and helped me out in a time crunch, had to run out of town for a funeral. My cats seemed very happy and couldn't get them to go back in their carriers the day I picked them up to go home! Susan saved me and I appreciate her help in such a sad time.”

“My cockapoo had the best time in Susan's home. I don't think he was ready to leave. She sent me multiple pictures each day and set my mind at ease. I will definitely trust her with my little one again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Aylett
She was a great boarder. She truly cared about our corgis needs and made sure she was comfortable. We set up a meeting so she could meet pepper and understand her needs. She was patient and so kind. She will be our go to person whenever we need someone to watch our corgi. Her dogs helped our corgi come out of her shell and not be scared of other dogs! It was like night and day in 4 days. We got many updates and pictures which made us feel comfortable being away for the first time. I definitely recommend her.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
