“As reluctant as I was to allow a stranger to come into my home, I was that much more hesitant to allow a stranger to walk my three dogs, in the end I knew I had no other choice but to hire someone due to my work schedule. While searching I came across Jef’s profile and I decided to go with him in booking dog walking for my three dogs. Jef even came to meet my dogs before he was to begin walking them the following day. From the initial message to the first time meeting, Jef maintained great communication and updated me each day after their walks. Jef definitely has something about him that made my dogs very comfortable around him. He quickly gained their trust and vice versa. Jef is also very persistent and knowledgeable in training dogs and helping to improve any bad leash habits. I will definitely be booking Jef for any future needs and I would definitely recommend him to anyone with pets.”

About: I have been owned by cats and dogs in the past. I recently transferred with my job from the East Coast to Utah, and now reside in Northern California and currently frequent the Humane Society to visit with the cats and dogs waiting for homes. Pet Sitting - I am able to walk them/feed in the mornings and after 5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Thursday - Sundays more frequently. I do prefer overnight pet sitting. I am reliable, responsible and have a "knack" with most pets. I do need to know about any behavioral issues (likes to chew on things that aren't their toys for example). Do they do well with new people? I prefer not to sit pit bull terriers, but mixed breeds I don't have a problem with. About: I have always had the responsibility of caring for my own animals, but I love getting to help other people care for their pets. I love meeting new animals and have lots of experience in this area. I have been walking dogs around my neighborhood since I was about 10 years old. I loved this experience which is why I have decided to dedicate myself to this line of work so I can always be available to help an animal in need. Currently I work an evening shift at a restaurant 4 nights a week so I have the day open before 5 pm Friday through Monday and Tuesday Wednesday Thursday I am completely available. My schedule also will be opening up more soon. I have a very large area for dogs to run around and two very friendly dogs of my own. I always start by making sure the space is free of any hazards, like toxic plants or loose wires and that they have a cozy spot just for them. Building trust is key, so I take things slow, using positive reinforcement like treats and praise to create a bond. Whether it's playtime or just chilling, I'm all about keeping their routine consistent to minimize stress.

About: I was raised on a ranch with all kinds of pets. I can't recall life without dogs we are so fortunate to have them in our lives they are unconditional in the love and affection they give . I was in dog rescue for 21 years as a foster. I had 7 dogs all were what was considered not able to be put in a home do to behavior issues the only option for these dogs was to be euthanized so I kept the rejects and had to stop rescue as to the inn was full and I still dog sat for the dogs that had been at my home until a new home was found . I have extensive experience with all types of dogs . I have a cat who pretends dogs do not exist so she just stays away, my cat was a ferel rescue cat and is now a fat and sassy house cat . I have a large home so have part of it sectioned off where her litter box and food are to keep dogs out of both . If I house sit I have experience with farm animals for feeding. I garden so watering is in my range. I'm home 75% of the time so I'm available. I may run a errand but that's about it . If weather permits and you have a road dog car rides with me are perfect. I spend a lot of my time cooking and blogging I cook for seniors in my community. If I'm gardening outside the dogs are welcome to be with me. I have a double lot so plenty of play room . Half of it is fenced for plenty of play room . I have a crate if needed . Your dog will have free roaming access in my home and allowed on the furniture . If I'm sitting your pet in your home it's your home and your rules that I follow . I have passed my Background check here on Rover to take care of your fur babies. The point is I want you to be assured your fur babies are safe with me .

“Thanks so much for walking Loki!”

Ehuniz D.

“Athena has been my service dog since 2012, but the move from Arizona to DC this year was hard on her. With long work days and crowds that can appear from nowhere, she began to be fearful and aggressive towards strangers. With Niecy's help Athena is becoming a happy and confident city dog. She addressed each of my concerns with good humor and patience; she was extremely communicative over phone and text, sending updates daily that made the separation from Athena much easier. She's creative with her training locations (Zoo Lights!) but doesn't forget to work on the basics that someone like me needs for everyday living (grocery stores). The skills Niecy is teaching Athena and me about living in the city are invaluable, and if I could give 10 stars, I would!”

Linda M.
“Linda is a very caring loving person specially when it comes to animals. She has taken care of my 2 pups quite a few times and my dogs love her! I have one who has severe separation anxiety and he does so well with her. She is a great candidate for this.”

Crystal W.
“Crystal has watched my partner in crime and best friend Django multiple times. She has treated him as one of her own and taken exceptional care of him. She sends me pictures of how he was doing while he is staying with her. Any time someone has ask for a recommendation for a pet sitter I also point them towards her!”

“I have had the pleasure of having Charlie pet/house sit for me on many occasions now, and the experience has been nothing short of outstanding. I could not ask for a more trustworthy, competent, reliable and loving petsitter! Charlie is not only an amazing pet/house sitter, but I also have the pleasure of knowing Charlie as a friend and co-worker. My dog Tanner is always excited to see Charlie who receives lots of love and pets...and I'm sure a few extra treats too. And my 2 cats are also in excellent care with Charlie. I can leave town without ever having to worry. I even get text photo updates of my happy pets. I would highly recommend Charlie as he goes above and beyond my expectations, and cares for my pets and my home as if it were his own. My house is always left in perfect order every time. I don't think my dog even misses me! I can absolutely recommend Charlie with the highest regard and without hesitation.....you will not be disappointed.”

Mikayla A.
“Mikayla is a personal friend, so of course I would write a nice testimonial for her. But she IS wonderful with all animals! She has helped me a lot with my horses, She spent quite a bit of time helping rehab my seriously injured mare. My mare LOVES her! We've spent a lot of time together with different dogs. When she didn't have her own dog she would go borrow dogs to take to the river and to walk because she loves them so much. My golden turns herself inside out when she sees Mikayla. When we take the dogs for a swim at the river she makes friends with every dog there and they all love her. She is conscientious and careful. I would trust her with all my animals and I'm kind of an animal freak with multiple fosters right now.”

Jenny J.
“I am so happy to know Jenny is looking after my pup- Baby. To be able to leave her in her own home with Jenny is the best. She looks after the house and the dog very well. With the cost of dog hotels this has to be the best choice. Plus I don't have to worry about my pup picking something up. You can enjoy your business trip or vacation knowing that the pup is getting the best care and isn't in some place in a crate thinking she has been deserted. After knowing Jenny for nearly 20 years, I can recommend her. I have never met Jenny when she hasn't been up beat and a pleasure to be around, so when you get home you have a happy pup and a smiling face to greet you.”
