About: I had pets all through childhood and now I've got 4 dogs and 8 indoor cats plus some chickens and ducks. We also have 2 children who adore animals. My skills with pets is heating what they are saying and getting on their level, or giving them space If needed. I am on short term disability due to medical issues of the autoimmune variety so I am home all the time! I can let dogs out when needed and play with cats. I have lots of availability. I have a fenced in backyard for the dogs (6 foot high wire fence), crates, kennels, and rooms that can be shut off from the house, etc if necessary.

I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. I am skilled at handling dogs and other animals of all ages, sizes, and temperments. I have worked with aggressive and reactive dogs and have experience deescalating conflicts when they arise. I am more than happy to care for any kind of animals- not just dogs and cats. My own current pets are two dogs and four cats. I also have experience caring for small animals, various poultry and livestock, and horses. When I was 15 years old I started occasionally farm/house sitting for a family with dogs, horses, and a cat, and caring for all of the animals there during my stay. With them I have worked daytime hours as well as overnight stays for a few days at a time so they could take trips out of state. In my adult life I have branched out, first with Rover a few years ago, and then with expanding farther into launching my private pet care business at the beginning of 2024 while still maintaining my presence on Rover. My client base is steadily growing and I am excited to see where this venture takes me! I am reliable and committed to providing excellent service for my clients. If you want a pet caretaker you can count on who will treat your animals as well as their own, I'm your gal! I work part time as a BHP and I try to be as flexible as possible. My schedule changes depending on the time of year. Currently I work with my human client from 7:15 am - 8:15am and 2:30pm - 5:30pm on weekdays and am off on weekends. I take care of animal clients all days of the week. Please message me and I'll do my best to work something out. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, bad things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dog around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety.

About: There has always been a dog, or two, in my home, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Your furry friend will be treated like family here! We go for walks a couple times a day, have shared or individual space, and have a dog door to a fenced in area throughout the day. Working from home, I am able to take the pups on walks at lunch and before and/or after work. They will have constant company throughout the day! I have a large yard to leash walk dogs, a finished/heated garage with a dog door to a fenced in area, so pups can go outside as they'd like between walks. I treat all animals as if they are my own; they are welcome on some furniture, have a warm and comfortable space, can meet dietary/medical needs, and will have multiple walks throughout the day.

About: As a lifelong dog owner, I know the importance of feeling confidence in your pet’s care while you are away – for the day or for weeks. I grew up with German Shepards, Labrador Retrievers, Weimaraners, and of course your traditional mutts. I’m comfortable with medium and large breeds with varying degrees of energy and structure needs. In adulthood I’ve dedicated myself to seniors and pups with special needs. My current pack is all neutered males - Riley (12), Vinnie (17), Gilroy (4, Cerebellar Aplasia), and Louie (4, Blind). Everyone in the pack is dog friendly and more importantly I know them well and how to navigate introducing new members. Pack management is a critical and advantageous skill I live in a single family detached home with a large fenced in yard. The dogs are allowed on the furniture. I have extra crates, cots, dog beds, and toys. With a traditional cape style, I can also keep pack members separate if needed, especially at mealtime to keep everyone safe. My home and I have been approved by three different reputable rescues in the last 3 years. I have established relationships with not only my local vet, Dirigo, but also specialists at Maine Veterinary Medical Center. I have experience with high needs behavioral and physical pups. Though I do not think taking in an aggressive dog into the pack for sitting is a good idea, I am comfortable and understand dogs with anxiety that might need some extra time or care. I have experience with dogs paralyzed in the back end, cerebellar hypoplasia (wobbly), cerebellar aplasia (no balance), hydrocephalus, blindness, senior needs, puppy needs and training. In the last year my pack has included three more pups (may two rest in peace, and one continue to live his best life with his forever mom) and so I open my home to boarding knowing that my current boys are already okay with new members. If you have any questions please reach out! I work from home five days a week. I work from home full-time and can navigate my schedule most days by the needs of the pack. Without a doubt they can go outside whenever they need. At most during the week I could leave the house from 1-3 hours. I will sometimes need to leave the house for 2-6 hours at a time especially on weekends, but can arrange any accommodation that makes your pup comfortable – free, crate, room etc. All dogs are allowed on the couch and my bed, though not all will sleep on the bed at night. I make sure to have a dog bed available for each pup in the house and have crate options too if individual space makes your pup feel more comfortable. The house is set up so that all living is on the first floor, so there are only two stairs into the home and two stairs off of the deck. During the warmer months I have a dog door for free access to the fenced in yard. However, in the winter months I maintain taking the dogs out at regular intervals. All dogs will be fed safely alone so no issues are allowed to develop. All stairs inside are blocked off either by baby gate or doors (for my blind boy). Pack management is key to safety and with lots of experience I know I can navigate it well.

I am currently between jobs so I have all the time to care for your pet. I can board, visit or walk your pet at most any time. I am a nurse for humans by trade. I have the ability to keep pets separate that need to be. They can be free range or crated at times if needed. We can go outdoors leashed or be in an outdoor kennel to play outside.

I grew up around large dogs and have years of experience dog sitting and training for friends and family across all ages and breeds, as well as dogs with special medical needs involving medications, past trauma history, and assistance going up and down stairs. I have two friendly and cuddly cats at home, and someday hoping to have the right space and time to adopt a big floofy dog. My kitties are currently learning to come when their name is called and working on sensory training to feel comfy when I brush their teeth! All cats and dog sizes/ages are welcome, and I can't wait to meet your baby! :) My schedule: I am a speech-language pathologist currently working Monday through Thursday. I love my job, but missing spending time with animals. I am routinely available Fridays and Sundays. Per request, I can be available Saturday mornings or Thursday afternoons as well to check in on your furry friend! My home: I have a large, open concept home that is "baby proof" due to our two curious cats at home. If needed, our cats are comfy hanging out in our master bedroom where we have a screen door so they can still observe, if your dog isn't a fan of cats. If you decide to board with us, I only accept one family at a time. I want to make sure safety comes first, and this will also allow me to create a homey environment and give more attention! We currently do not have a fenced in yard (but hope to soon!). Aside from going on daily walks, if you are comfortable, I can link your dog to a run or a long rope, while supervised, to enjoy the outdoors as we have about an acre of open space in our back yard.

About: After nearly nine years together we lost our beloved rescue doggie last summer. We miss the companionship, but we are not ready to make a full time commitment to another pet. Doggie-sitting your special pet seems like the perfect way to satisfy my desire for a four-legged companion. I work in a school so I have the summer off and will have lots of flexibility once the summer begins. This will allow me to be very attentive to your pet for a day, a night, or while you take a few days of vacation. Our in-town location is great for long or short walks and our home is very pet friendly. About: I'm a genuine dog lover! I've always trained my dogs on basic tricks and commands.I'm aware that dogs have their own personalities, fears, and strengths. I work part-time.
