“Logan was great with my rescue twins! One of them is particularly skittish, he made her feel safe & at ease! The other is particularly reactive, he made him feel comfortable & was able to let his guard down! Highly recommend!!”

About: As recent empty nesters (we lost our senior pup Charlie🐾 in 2024 to old age) we look forward to providing a loving and calm home for your pup to land while you are away. My husband and I work freelance in advertising and I am also a part-time librarian. We have started pet sitting to add back some joy to our quieter days. We enjoy a good couch potato for company while we send emails, but we also would love a companion for our daily walks on our quiet dirt road! We have cozy beds waiting in every room, including the premo spots- in front of the fireplace and access to all the people-couches - so your pup will always be comfortable as they inevitably follow us around the house in your absence. We have experience with managing modified diets as well as administering oral medications, please feel free to share any special needs or rituals your pet may have. Our WFH lifestyle means that we can accommodate any needs your pet may have. If your dog has a specific midday potty break followed by couch time, we can make it happen. Does your dog need a song sung before they will eat their breakfast? No problem. Can they only lay down for bed with a specific plushy and their blanket freshly folded? We've been there. Please let us know about your friend's quirks so that we can do our best to fill in for you while you're away. We have a spacious clean house that your pet will have access to with a variety of dog beds and toys for their stay. Please feel free to provide a crate if your dog prefers, we have room! If sitting in your home we will be mindful of house rules and make sure to maintain consistency for your pet so they feel secure while you're away.

About: I've been taking care of pets since before I remember. Growing up I cared of neighbors', family members' and friends' pets on a multitude of occasions to go on long walks, feed, bathe, and give attention to whilst they are away. Ive taken care of newborn kittens and puppies as well as elderly fuzzy friends who need meds and daily iv's/shots. Ive even assisted a cat birth and successfully resuscitated a kitten! I am comfortable with giving all animals even exotics the care love and attention they deserve. I've had many cats and dogs of my own over the years and have cared for my families' beagle mix who is 15 yrs old and thriving. I've fostered over 7 cats, and have 4 cats currently! I'm currently trying to do this full time with the help of my husband. I want to spend more time in my element, spending time and spreading love to all the furry friends, because that is what I love. <3 If you decide to hire me, I am a clean organized person who prioritizes the pet and will give them my full attention. I am a non smoker, and clean neurotically, so your home will most likely be cleaner than you left it as a perk
About: Hi! My name is Brooklin, and animals have been a huge part of my life for over 18 years. I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. I previously worked with the Charleston Animal Society, where I gained valuable experience caring for animals and understanding their individual needs. My background has given me the skills to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care for your pets while you're away. I am comfortable administering medications when needed and have experience monitoring pets' health, feeding schedules, water intake, bathroom habits, and overall well-being. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm and relaxed environment, I strive to make them feel comfortable, loved, and stress-free. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities. My goal is to treat every animal as if they were my own and provide pet parents with peace of mind through dependable care and communication. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! At the moment I have a full time job, but have weekends off. I plan to entail doing this on my weekends and even after work days. This is more then just making it my routine. I adore animal(s). I have a fenced in yard, I as well have a crate. Plenty of opportunities for walking adventures. I enjoy going to the dog park, as well with adventuring outside anywhere with the animal(s). Whatever you set for rules or boundaries I’ll always continue to respect them, and always follow. I enjoy working with animal(s)
“Another excellent walk under challenging circumstances. Even with thunderstorms and tornado watches- Lori made her way to our house to give the dogs reassurance and support. She made sure the got out for a short time to complete their “business”.”

“Shelby is great! I'm thankful we were able to connect. Things have been very hectic in our world and having someone we can trust walk our very bouncy 80lb puppy has been unbelievably helpful! Shelby asked some good questions about our pup before starting out and I trust her to take good care of Agnes while on their walks. Agnes comes back happy and sleepy everytime - it's a win for everyone!”
About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life—whether it’s been my own pets, helping out friends, or rescuing strays in need. Both of my cats were rescued by me, and I’ve always had a natural connection with animals. They’re drawn to me, and I love giving them the same trust and affection they show me. I grew up with big dogs, including two pit bulls and a boxer, so I’m confident and comfortable handling larger breeds. Over the years, I’ve potty trained dogs, taught tricks, and cared for pets with all kinds of temperaments. My experience goes beyond cats and dogs—I’ve also cared for frogs, snakes, turtles, and even had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with elephants in Thailand. My love for animals runs so deep that I’ve been vegan for over a decade. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s truly part of who I am. What I Offer 🐾 A 100% open and flexible schedule—your pets will always get the time, love, and attention they deserve. 🐾 Experience with animals of all sizes, temperaments, and special needs. 🐾 Patience, playfulness, and genuine compassion for every pet I meet. Whether it’s cuddles, walks, playtime, or extra TLC, I’ll treat your fur babies like they’re my own. I have a completely open and flexible schedule, available any day and time. Since I mostly work from home, I can easily accommodate bookings, cancellations, last-minute changes, and special requests. The only exception is occasional weekend evenings after 5 PM, when I work at The Colony in Woodstock. Other than that, I’m always here for you and your pets! I live in a spacious three-bedroom, 2 story home with a large open yard, perfect for pets to play and explore. Your furry friend will have plenty of room to stretch, run, and enjoy the outdoors while getting all the exercise and fresh air they need to stay happy and healthy.

About: My Roomate and I have been working with dogs our whole lives. We both work full time at doggy daycares as managers. I also have experienced in working with farm animals as well. We want to eventually open our own doggy daycare and thought that this was the best way to get started. We have experience in bathing, nail trimming, administration of medication and supervising large play groups between 5 to 60 dogs by ourselves. Including dogs of all sizes and temperaments. We have 2 dogs and a cat of our own. We take pride in providing a sweet loving environment for every dog and making sure every dog receives the needs personalized to them. We would love to meet your fur babies and give them a fun time to enjoy their vacation just as much as you enjoy yours. We look forward to hearing from all of you. About: Hi, Everyone! My name is Cara. Thank you for visiting my page. My strong admiration for animals has only grown more with the more animals I meet and as a result, it brings me genuine happiness. It is a rewarding experience to be able to take care of any animal that needs it while their owner is away. Since starting Rover in August 21’, I’ve had 10+ repeat clients and have established great friendships with families/people in the community as a result. I have a M-F teaching position 8am-4pm and summer months off. I am currently a part time Binghamton University graduate student studying for a masters degree in early childhood special education. A little history: I grew up with a miniature schnauzer (Zoie) whom towards the end of her life, needed constant supervision and was administered medicine 3x/ day, grooming/washing daily. I was always there to comfort her until the end of her life and spoiled her beyond belief. Myself and my family provided care to my mini schnauzer for over 12 years. As a child, I never had a dog sitter to send updates, pictures/videos for my sweet Zoie when my family would travel, so I strongly understand the importance of quick and reliable communication/sending updates while you’re away to ease your anxiety. Experience - administering medicine/injections - cats, big dogs, small dogs, senior animals, special needs pets, pigs, cows, chickens. -exercise/run with your pet -hospice/end of life care (Repositioning every hour, hand feeding, massages, cooking packs, frozen bone broth snacks on warmer days, the list goes on) Pets and animals deserve to be spoiled but most importantly, they deserve to be loved. I have a white pitbull fur baby (Minnie). Shes a loyal, sweet and well behaved dog, I’m so lucky and thankful for her every day as she brings me so much happiness. She stays at home with her other best friend, my significant other while I’m away. If you think I’d be a good fit for your fur baby or have any questions or concerns, I’m here to answer them all and hope you will consider me to take care of your pet. I work M-F through a nearby school, being able to provide supervision to animals while I am home. Check my calendar for the most up to date availability, please 😌 House sitting: Provide overnight care, 24/7 care, other responsibilities to care for your home while you are away (watering plants, picking up mail, cleaning, etc.) Always love to send picture and video updates 2-3x/a day of your furry one to ensure you are comfortable and know that your animal is well cared for and happy in my care!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Atco. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.
The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Atco after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.
Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
