“Excellent communication and pictures. Provided enough details and pictures to have me feel that I had made the right decision in booking Angela. I will be rebooking with Angela the next time I need the service.”

“Meghan was great! I had a week long trip and was super nervous about leaving my cat alone. She came over prior to my trip and met Eevee. Of course he was a bit nervous at first but was asking for pets from her within 5 minutes. He almost never does that! It usually takes a day or two before he'll let someone new pet him or get near him. From that day, I felt so much better about going on my trip. She took excellent care of Eevee and sent plenty of pictures of him and a video or two. I would definitely book her again for my future trips :)”

“Dara has been my consistent go to person for taking care of my fur-babies. She has always been great with communication and sends lots of great photos to put my mind at ease.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my whole life. Have been around all breeds , big and small, nice and mean. I love all fur babies the same :) I’m currently working 7-3 M-F so I’ll be available in the afternoons! I will be available on some weekends, just ask! We have one dog, he is crate trained , potty trained, does not bite. We have 2 cats that he gets along with. We use an automatic litter robot, but very familiar with changing litter for years.

“James was excellent! He helped us last minute and jumped right in. My dogs love him. He sent pictures of them throughout the week and made sure to let us know how they were doing. Definitely plan to book again and would recommend to friends/family!!”

“Jonathan did a great job! He was very patient with all my requests and took a good care of our cats. One of our cats gets really sad when we are out of town and hides a lot, Jonathan was sure to find her and give her attention and love every time he was here. We already asked him to take care of them again next time we get out of town. Thank you Jonathan!”

“Rachel is great with my cats! She is attentive, making sure she plays with them, handles administering medications and treats daily. She sends both video and pictures daily - I can tell my babies are at ease and enjoying their time with her. She checks in if she has questions. I feel very comfortable leaving my babies under her care.”

“Isabella is a great communicator and was so good with our two very active dogs on her drop ins. She accommodated our schedule and cared for them like her own we appreciate her help!”

“Skyler was absolutely amazing while watching our dog and cat! She took such great care of them and gave us peace of mind while we were away. We received updates, photos, and could tell our pets were happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire time. When we came home, our babies were relaxed and content. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!!”

I am reliable and punctual, and I will give your pet all the attention and loving they deserve- walks, playing, petting, feeding. I am capable of caring for elderly pets as well, as I have. 13-year old dog myself. I can administer oral and topical medications. I’m currently not working, so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of yours pets. I am available any time between 6:30am to 9:30pm for drop-in visits, and I am able to do overnight stays. About: I grew up in a house with many pets around. We had dogs, cats, and even some farm animals. I understand how these little critters become important members of families. I will treat your pets with the love and compassion they deserve! I am used to cleaning up messes and walking dogs on a leash, nothing new for me! I work a full time job and get out around 3:30 p.m most days. Unfortunately this limits my availability during the weekdays and I can only do evening visits on Monday - Fridays--unless the address happens to be close to my work near downtown Spartanburg. I'll be available for overnight stays anytime of the week. Please dont hesitate to ask me any availability questions! I will only be taking clients that need service in their own homes, as I do not want the complications of introducing new animals to my pets in my home.
“Cassy was absolutely amazing with our two dogs, Levi and Oakley! This is my first time using the Rover app, and she was very kind, helpful, and extremely easy to communicate with. We will absolutely use her again! 🩷”

“Angela was a godsend when I needed a last minute sitter for my three babies. I had never left my two youngest with anyone but they loved her. She reassured me that they were doing great each time she visited. She was punctual and took wonderful care of them. I came home to happy and calm babies.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ashley. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
