About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

“Mickey was great. She made Beasley feel very comfortable and treated him like one of the family. She even bought him a sweater that she let us keep while we were gone because it got very cold out. He not only loved her but he also made a couple new friends at her house. Sunny and Sylvester were great companions for him during his stay. We will definitely be calling Mickey for future travels when Beasley needs a place to stay.”

About: UPDATE: looking for new clients in our neighborhood in Holland! About me: I grew up always with dogs and cats. I currently have cats and a german shepherd dog! While in high school I attended a small animal science program for 2 years and we had our own grooming business running for dogs. In the program I worked with the smallest dogs to the largest canines; walked them, bathed them and groomed them. I love walking dogs and will make sure your dog gets a great walk. This is a full time job for me as it brings me immense happiness! I also have experience with most small animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, hamsters, bearded dragons, rats, gerbils and mice from my time in small animal science in school. I also have comfortablilty with farm animals as well as I've watched a few flocks of chickens. I'm positive, honest and hardworking; your furbabies will always be my biggest priority while they're with me! Currently I'm taking as many clients as I can comfortably fit into my schedule. Please feel free to chat with me about your furbabies needs! I can easily handle anything your furbaby throws at me as well as you furparent! Give me as clear as instructions as possible and watch them thoroughly get followed; I honestly thrive on instructions! Expect questions from me!! I don't currently have the ability to have clients in my home but I absolutely love taking care of them in their homes. About: I have been pet sitting for most of my life. People have always trusted me with their animals - dogs, cats, tortuous, rabbits, fish, and hedgehogs to name a few. I understand that a pet is another family member and deserved to be treated as such. Hire me and have some peace of mind knowing that your pets are being loved on and cared for while you are away. My job is remote and more so dependent on my overall job being done rather than being in front of a computer for set hours. You tell me when you want me to visit and we can make it work. About: I have had my own pets since I was 18yrs old. Large ones, small one all different personalities. For some reason animals love me as much as I love them. I enjoy forming that bond with them. I will treat your animals as if they are my own. I will respect you home as I expect mine too be treated. I used Rover in my home before I decided I wanted to take care of others animals. I expected no one to touch anything of mine unless it pertained to the animals. I currently work a fairly flexible job so I will have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I have two of my own dogs so house sitting needs to be flexible I have a fairly large sized yard that your pups can run in. My two fur babies are very friendly and will gladly keep your pups company

Also have an above ground pool that your pup can swim in with my help if they like to. During the school year I am out of the house Mon-Fri from 7-4 so I can take dogs for boarding on Friday's starting at 4 or after. My favorite thing is to be home with my dogs on the weekend so most likely the shortest amount of time your pup(s) will be home without a human is 2-4 hours max. When I am home, the dogs are my first priority, with many walks, brushing, massage and pampering included in each visit! If your pup needs a bath and is well-behaved in the tub, I'd love to freshen them up! (I do not cut nails). All of my pups are on flea and tick prevention year round. Please reach out if you have any questions! I am home all day during the summer months so I can watch your pup 24/7! I have older pups who love to chill and a younger golden who loves to run around and play so whatever kind of dog you have they should fit right in. No aggressive dogs please! I am home 24/7 when watching your pup. I have a huge fenced in yard for them to play and a nice indoor area as well. Our dogs are allowed on furniture and prefer it over their expensive dog beds lol.
