About: I am currently a college student, and I'm home for the summer. I have had cats in the house since I was 4 years old, so I have a lot of experience with them! I currently have two cats, Curry and Mochi. We adopted them both from Cozy Cat Cottage, which is also where I used to volunteer. My experience owning cats and volunteering for a cat shelter helped foster a love and understanding for cats. I am very patient with them as some cats are more reserved and difficult to socialize, even our own Mochi! I'm happy to spend quality time with your cats because I understand that cats need stimulation especially while their owners are gone. I am also entrusted with regularly taking care of my friend's bird, so I can also watch a variety of animals if needed. Currently, I am not working, so I can drop by anytime! In the middle of July, I will only be able to do morning and evening drop-ins because I will be working at a research lab until the middle of August. For your cat's safety, I'll make sure to take any special security measures needed. I'll follow any orders of gates needed and make sure to cat-proof anything by making sure everything is where it belongs. From personal experience, Curry enjoys going outside, but he is a runner so I understand the importance of keeping cats indoors or taking them on supervised walks if necessary.

About: Ever since I was young we’ve always had beautiful dogs for pets. That continued throughout our marriage and as we grew as a family. Retired and miss my companion. I’m hesitant to foster because I know I’ll end up falling in love with another fur baby. Trustworthy and loving. As I’m retired now, I’m looking to fill that void in my life since we lost our last pet. Flexible and trustworthy. Lots of love to give. Ha! Our house is there house! I miss walking our dog and always kept him on schedule. Never was one to give excessive treats but lots of attention.

About: I have had a dog of my own for 8 years! I have also watched my neighbors and family friends’ pups for the past few years. I love to play, snuggle, or go on long walks! I plan to work part time over the summer which leaves me plenty of time to stop by and visit! I’m pretty flexible so any time of day or days of the week should work! I’ll make sure your pup is well fed and receives lots of treats! We’ll go on walks and play together and I love sending pictures of them having fun!!

About: I have experience with medically needy pets to include hypothyroid, cancer, hospice/palliative care, mobility issues, incontinence, spinal stenosis, kidney care, heart disease, hyper/hypothyroid, cushings, and senior pet needs. I'm laid back and don't get too worried about the small stuff like counter surfing (I'll set a boundary and use positive reinforcement though!) or an accident here and there. I issue a questionnaire and conduct a meet n greet in your home at least one week prior to our scheduled sitting session(s). This is to make sure everyone is on the same page and we are a good fit (no additional charge). You will be asked to give specific daily instructions for any needs your pets may have. I may ask you to label and bag medications with instructions for use, or if your dog is on special food to pre-bag the kibble or give me a measuring cup for the amount to be given (no one wants to come home to a pudgy pet!). I will send photos of your pets and update you frequently, but you can enjoy your trip without hesitation that they are happy, cared for, and I'm on top of it! I work from home, or your home in this case. I am online in meetings during this time so I do require wifi that will allow me to work while staying at your home. I schedule breaks for your pets to be let out and to be played with. While I do give my time and attention to your pets and they are a priority, I may leave the house for brief periods to take care of my own needs for groceries, exercise, etc. You must be comfortable with a sitter who will need to periodically (not every day or all the time) leave the house and have their own freedom to go out to dinner or pick up medicine, etc. If you need a person who is home 24/7 and will never leave your dog home, I am not the person for your pet. I pay attention to all the details and administer a pre-registration questionnaire which must be filled out before the meet and greet. By day, I am a clinical social worker and I have been background checked, finger printed, and work with vulnerable populations every day. I've never even stolen a piece of gum, though I request that you NOT leave valuables or large sums of money in your home when you are not. I do NOT and will NEVER use any form of physical punishment or correction with your pet, you can be assured that my boundaries are verbal and with positive reinforcement. Your home environment must be clean (I'm not talking white-glove, but reasonably sanitary) and safe for humans and pets. I will clean litter boxes, administer medications, apply diapers (for elderly or incontinent), change out pee pads, utilize crates (if requested) per your exact instructions. I will also water plants and pick up poo, gather mail, etc. while you are out of town.
