About: As a true animal lover who misses her pets while away at school, I’m excited to offer hands-on care for a wide range of animal companions. I’ve raised cats, dogs, rabbits, and chickens, and I also work closely with the animal lab at the Science Museum of Virginia in my hometown of Richmond. There, I care for reptiles, amphibians, fish, and even arachnids, giving me both the compassion and confidence to care for exotic pets of all kinds. I’m a full time student at JMU, with classes M-Th, I am offering all day/as needed care on weekends starting Friday after 1pm. I am open to drop-ins and walks after 6pm weekdays, except Tuesday. Being that I’m a student, I do not offer pet care from my home, however I always have a mindful approach to offering in-home pet care for clients. Don’t hesitate to communicate concerns or boundaries regarding

“I'm almost afraid to leave an honest review. BECAUSE, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO BOOK HIM AGAIN! And I don't want him to be too busy. He did a wonderful job with our dog and our house. Saxon got all the exercise he needed, then apparently slept the afternoon away. Our home looked exactly how we left it. Maybe even better. Finn came for a meet and greet with Saxon and asked great questions about what Saxon likes and does not do, or should no do. We were very pleased and would definitely book him again.”

“Abigail is attentive, warm and friendly. She asked the right questions about Ripley, our 11 year old Shichon, and our home where she will home sit. Ripley is very cautious and over protective. But when she met Abigail for the first time, she immediately warmed up to her. We will rebook with Abigail again!”

“Moriah combines adroit technical expertise with amazing cat whisperer mojo. Our cat Casino needs to use an Aerokat steroid inhaler to control his severe asthma. (Steroid pills have twice given him diabetes.) It took me months to get to the point where Casino would sit beside me and take nine breaths while I held a rubber mask over his face. It’s tricky, and you can’t force it, because if he has an aversive experience, next time he may refuse altogether. Moriah had never used an Aerokat before. Although Moriah uses a similar device with her daughter, and has a lot of veterinary experience, our vet was skeptical, and advised that Moriah come over several times before we left, to learn and practice with Casino. This was not possible. Moriah said to just send her a video showing what Casino and I do with the Aerokat. So we did. Our first night on the road, Moriah sent a video of herself and Casino using the Aerokat PERFECTLY, all 9 breaths!!! In other matters too, she did a great job assessing and handling the situation. I would trust her to look after any special needs animal.”

Adrian M.
“I have a 4 year old poochon who is a bit shy with strangers and the way he gravitated towards Adriane had me so surprised!! He allowed her to give him a belly rub which I’ve only seen him do to the immediate household members that live in the house. Adriane definitely has a warm and friendly spirit to her that my little guy Cody drew towards. Adriane made sure his feedings were on time. She not only walked him but also took him to the dog park in our neighborhood and sent pictures to update me throughout the day. Cody’s fur is very high-maintenance and needs to be brushed everyday. Adriane took care of that for me and gave me one less thing to worry about when I got home. I highly recommend her services and I look forward to having her watch Cody again!”

Finn K.

Abigail L.

“Abigail is attentive, warm and friendly. She asked the right questions about Ripley, our 11 year old Shichon, and our home where she will home sit. Ripley is very cautious and over protective. Emma H.
“Emma is one of the most caring and selfless people I have ever met in my entire life, and her love for her 3 crazy puppies is so immense. She's extremely responsible when it comes to taking care of them and giving them warm and happy environments where they can receive thousands of hugs everyday. I've actually pet sit for her before and her instructions for taking care of her pups are always so thorough and thought out. She pays such close attention to the needs and specific care instructions for each of her dogs and makes sure that they're all accounted for and given the proper love and care they need. Emma is such a kind and genuinely good human, I would trust her with my life and especially my own dog at home. She has a lot of experience baby sitting as well, and is so great with kids and dogs alike. She's a natural care giver and a natural lover. She'll make sure your puppies get taken care of and have a lot of fun while doing it. She's baby sat and dog sat for as long as I've known her, and she's so passionate about both. I highly recommend Emma if you're looking for a kind soul to take care of your four legged friends. :)”

Leah T.
“Leah is super attentive and observant of dogs! She has cared for both of my dogs. One is extremely energetic and requires multiple longer walks throughout the day. The other is rather lazy and more content with simply having company. Leah was able to take care and cater to each of their specific needs. She is also very astute in following any directions and requests I have regarding their care.”

Moriah S.

Michael C.
“Michael is my #1 choice to watch my fur babies! He has watched my cats on multiple occasions and has always been very attentive to their needs! One of my cats requires medication, which Michael administers without issue. He always gives the cats lots of love, and I can tell when I return that they have been well taken care of while I was away. He is communicative and I can really tell how much he cares about animals. I would 100% recommend Michael for pet sitting!”
