“Alexa went above and beyond. My dog can be very anxious and she did everything she could to make her feel at home. She was lovely and picked up/dropped off for me. Alexa treated my girl like her own and took her to the vet when she needed it without hesitation and kept me in the loop the whole time. I can't thank her or recommend her highly enough!!!!!!”

“Lavar and Amber were great! My dog was content and slept, ate and played well while staying with them! I would definitely recommend them! They were very flexible and helped me out when I needed to add an extra day to my reservation!”

“This was our puppies first time staying overnight withMelissa. She was there three nights. Everything went well. Melissa was great as usual and sent us pictures and video of Maya while we were away. So grateful to have found her. Highly recommend!”

“Our pups had the most wonderful time with this lovely family! We have one 8 year old, and 5 month old mutt, and they have very different personalities and we weren't sure what type of environment would make them feel most comfortable and at home. But after reading reviews and seeing pics of other dogs who stayed with Victoria and Michael, it was an easy decision! It was literally as if they were at summer camp for dogs. They played with the boys, ran around the expansive and beautiful farm, and played in the creek with the family. It warmed our hearts to see daily photos and videos, and they truly treated them like their own. We will absolutely book with them again in the future!”

“Season was wonderful! Excellent communication, very flexible, and a loving environment for our babies. We are very happy we found her and look forward to booking with her again very soon!”

“Emmett and his wife gave excellent care to Sheldon. Sheldon had never been away from us so I was nervous about leaving him. We were provided we daily updates and multiple pictures. Sheldon loved running around in their fenced in yard. I will definitely be using Emmett again when we need a sitter and will recommend him to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Can I give 6 stars? Karen was great to work with. Very communicative and flexible. My dogs stayed for 2 weeks. Karen sent pictures and updates regularly. I loved her setup for the dogs. My dogs love to sit in the yard and watch the world. She's out in the country with horses nearby. I think they spent a lot of time there. Plus she has a special area in her house set aside for the dogs with beds and water. Overall a great experience”

“My dogs came back fluffy and happy. I can tell they had a great time with Christy. Our normal sitter canceled less that 24 hrs before a trip, and Christy swooped in to save the day. I’m so grateful!!!”

“Brian and Tara were fantastic! They were incredibly responsive to messages and flexible to accommodate our travel details and a meet & greet. They have an excellent set-up, and our dog was in great hands. We particularly appreciated the frequent updates, pictures, and videos! We will definitely use them again!”

“Jennifer (and her husband) were very welcoming, accommodating and accepting when we first met in their home. My daughter, who just turned fourteen and is usually shy with strangers, felt very comfortable meeting them. As for our Yuki, he felt right at home and began exploring and making friends with their pup as well. I received photos that showed our puppy happy and playful. He was well taken care of and I would gladly use Jennifer’s services again! I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a home where your pet will be loved and well taken care of!”

“T sent us fun pics every 2 days, was very responsive, and returned Meemo in great shape. She was also super accommodating when we split the stay between my wife and I (we each had $50 Rover credit). Great value for us! Seems like Meemo got lots of exercise and social interaction with the other dogs, which we're very happy about. She even came back smelling good - a bonus we would not have expected. :)”

“Cody was great. He’s very welcoming from the beginning which eased the transition at first. He provided daily updates. I was at ease knowing my pup was with him. Highly recommend! He kept my doggy for more than a week.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12 years old. We’ve always had pets growing up, so I took part in walking, feeding, bathing, and loving many dogs. I even raised puppies when our dog had her own, bottle fed them, and trained them. We also have a golden retriever who I spend a lot of time loving on! I’m a nurse so I have several days off a week, but the days I am free vary! I know the days I’m scheduled to work months in advance, and it is pretty much set. We live in an apartment that is safe and pet friendly. It’s on the first floor. I’m very mindful of your space and taking care of your pup by your rules and what works best for him/her!
“Pamela and her family were very nice to Roman. I got pictures and video while out of town. Roman is older and set in his ways. They made him feel at home. We will definitely use them again. I would highly recommend them to anyone.”

“Abigail was so sweet with my puppy, trying to understand what the puppy needs and providing closely. Also thank you for taking last minute ask for the sitting request. Absolutely the best!”

“Rosie loved her stay with Natalie! Natalie made us feel super comfortable and was very responsive. We loved the photos and getting to hear about Rosie’s stay! Rosie got the royalty treatment- including movie nights on the couch with cuddles! We will definitely be using Natalie again the next time we pass through Nashville. Highly recommended.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! Sarah and Kevin took amazing care of our dogs while we were away. From the daily updates and adorable photos to the genuine love and attention given, it was clear our pet was in great hands. They followed all instructions perfectly and went above and beyond to make sure our furry friend felt comfortable and happy. Highly recommend Sarah and Kevin for any dog sitting needs. We will definitely use them again!”

“This was the 2nd time Amy watched our dog Willow and we were so pleased with the entire experience! Willow is a 1 yo lab and has a lot of energy but Amy had a lll great things to say about our girl and sent lots of pictures and updates while we were away. When we picked up Willow she was happy and tired- the perfect combo! Thanks Amy!!”
“Left our dog Oscar with Sharon. He is a cavalier King Charles and has heart disease. We had not left him for boarding anywhere after his diagnosis and so we were nervous. Sharon is wonderful and very caring. Oscar has a great stay. Will definitely leave him in Sharon’s care in the future.”

95% of sitters in Arkland can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Arkland.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
