About: Hi! I’m Kari, a lifelong animal lover with a deep passion for caring for pets. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and other animals, I’ve always felt a natural connection to them. I currently have three dogs of my own— a 9-year-old female American Pit Bull Terrier, a 5-year-old male American Pit Bull Terrier, and a 4-year-old male German Shepherd/Boxer mix. While I’m relatively new to professional pet sitting, I have years of experience caring for my own pets and have also helped friends and family with dog and/ or cat sitting, walking, and playtime. I’m a recent graduate of Central Michigan University and now teach 8th and 9th grade English at Manistee Area Public Schools. I’m committed to both my career and to providing the best care for pets. Through my experience with my own dogs, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how to manage different personalities and behavioral needs. For instance, my youngest dog developed anxiety and reactivity at around 1.5 years old, which has required daily medication and thoughtful management of his interactions with my other dogs. While it’s been challenging, it has helped me learn how to create a safe and structured environment for animals with unique needs. In addition to my dogs, I also have experience caring for a variety of animals, including four hens and a rooster, which has further expanded my knowledge of animal care. Though I’m newer to professional pet sitting, I am a quick learner and dedicated to building my skills and providing loving, reliable care for your pets. I understand that each animal is unique, and I’m eager to build lasting relationships with pets and owners alike. Whether your pet needs high-energy playtime, medication management, or just some quality attention, I’m here to provide the best care possible while you’re away. I work as a full-time English teacher, with my workday running from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Outside of these hours, I’m flexible and available to provide pet sitting, dog walking, and other services. I’m also happy to accommodate weekend requests. Located in Bear Lake, MI, I’m willing to travel within the surrounding areas to care for your pets. When caring for pets in my own home, I ensure they are treated like part of the family. I provide a safe and comfortable environment where they have plenty of space to roam and play. My dogs, like my clients’ pets, receive regular exercise, mental stimulation, and socialization. I’m mindful of their individual personalities and energy levels, which allows me to adjust care accordingly—whether it’s a calm day of cuddles or a more energetic session of playtime. For pets in their own homes, I focus on maintaining their usual routines to minimize stress. I follow any specific instructions provided by the owner, whether it's feeding schedules, medication needs, or exercise requirements. I believe consistency is key to helping pets feel comfortable when their owners are away. I make sure to provide companionship, keep the environment safe, and give them the attention they need. Whether it's daily walks, administering medication, or just offering plenty of affection, I treat each pet with the same care and dedication I give to my own animals. I’m committed to ensuring your pet feels happy, secure, and loved, whether they are in my home or yours.

About: I'm a stay at home wife, with a bunch of animals (dog, cats, chickens, ducks), looking to make extra money. I LOVE animals! I have experience volunteering at the Humane Society as well as caring for pets of family and friends. I have been dog sitting for Rover.com for over 5 years. If your dog needs a little company, to be walked, or even a bath; I'm available. Have more than one dog? No problem. I have a open and flexible schedule so, I can be available on short notice. I used to want to be a veterinarian. Life plans change a bit, but my love for animals has not so, I make an effort to help people like you whenever I can. My experience administering medication I have administered medication twice before. If you use any special methods, if you show me how, I am more than willing to do it. I currently work from home, so I have a pretty flexible schedule. My early mornings are spent doing my farm chores, but I'm usually pretty free by 9amish. I do my best to work with clients, so reach out, and I'll see you I can fit you onto my schedule! I do not currently host animals in my own home. In the home of my clients, I treat their pets the way I would my own, with patience, love, and care.

About: ’ve had hands-on experience caring for animals for many years. Since around age 12, I’ve regularly helped care for pets belonging to friends, family, and neighbors. During that time I’ve provided feeding, walking, bathing, pet sitting, playtime, and general daily care. I also have experience helping with basic training and working with dogs who were preparing for adoption, which helped me learn how to work with different personalities, energy levels, and comfort needs. Most recently, I’ve been volunteering at a local animal shelter for over 4 months. In this role, I assist with a variety of responsibilities including walking dogs, bathing, playtime and enrichment, administering medications when needed, transporting animals, and helping with overall animal care at the shelter. Working with animals in both home and shelter environments has given me experience with pets of different temperaments, and I always focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always do my best to provide reliable, attentive care. If you’re looking for someone dependable who genuinely cares about animals, I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! I’m currently in an on call sort of situation, so my schedule is very flexible! I ask that we at least get a few days advance notice due to a fluctuating schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free for them. Through my experience caring for pets and volunteering at a local animal shelter, I’ve worked with animals of many different temperaments and understand the importance of patience, awareness, and safe handling. I always make sure pets are secure on walks, monitored during playtime, and given plenty of attention and care. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions you have for feeding, medications, routines, or training. I believe communication is very important, so I’m glad to send updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
