“Bella’s first Rover sitter and she was happy in the pictures and video sent and when I picked her up. Thank you Nathan for making it a great experience for her with her favorite things like a car ride and a pup cup!!”

“Kara was wonderful. Ace was very well taken care of while our moving truck was being unloaded. I really appreciated her communication especially with the video and pictures. I will definitely be reaching out to her again.”

About: When I was growing up babysit for my brothers bestfriend. I would have to walk the dogs and it got her energy out as well. :) I have 5 cats and I have to change their litter daily, feed them twice a day , give them love and attention. I will go to my grandmas and walk her dog for her. I treat them as I they are mine. I love animals no matter how big or small. And I follow the instructions from the orders of the times they want to feed them.

“Staci was wonderful! Sent me pics and updates, was very accommodating and flexible with me. Well priced for a fabulous experience. I was nervous since my dog can be a jerk around others, and she has 2 small dogs, but she had a plan for all scenarios. And the dogs for along fine. Definitely would recommend her.”
About: I have grown up around all kinds of animals which has lead me to have a soft spot in my heart for all. Primarily dogs, I do have some experience caring for chickens and cats. I am currently working part time so I have a lot of time available to help you with your pet, weekends included! I am in the Lincoln area, but I am open to traveling depending on mileage and pay. Pets are well loved under my care. Extra play, love and treats. Assured they will have all the necessary care. Dog walking, fetching, feeding will be included with every visit. It’s important to me your pets aren’t only checked on but getting played with and shown love.
About: Owned dogs all my life with experience from puppy to end of life. I truly believe our pets are part of the family and should be treated as such I often work from home with a lot of flexibility. I am up early and stay up late so can be accommodating to many schedules I do not have a fenced yard, I leash walk animals regularly. Historically with my own dogs I have underground fencing. Safety and attention are my concerns for animals
“Joseph came into our home to "babysit" our dog, who has tremendous separation anxiety. Joseph really read our dog well, and within the 3 hours we were gone had gained Buster's trust. Joseph had a wonderful kindness from the get-go, both with us and our dog. He will be our go-to guy henceforth.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Arbor commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
